Default Please tell me which spoiler I have, and if I can add version/Stage 2

I just purchased this Corvette for my wife, and after looking at photos, I was wondering if I could add version/stage 2 or even 3 to my current spoiler? Would I have to drill holes? Sorry for the newbie question, I can't say for sure which spoiler I have, and I need veteran opinions.

That is called the Z51 style spoiler. It was an option on the base stingray and standard on the Z51. The stage 2/3 is the spoiler for the Z06. This rear spoiler will not fit a stingray because the rear bumper is 3 inches wider on a Z06.

Actually it will fit, though stick out about 3/8" on both sides. Several have done this and have received many compliments about its consequent very aggressive look. However, to do this, one needs to pull out at least the upper half of the rear fascia (many have found it easier to remove it entirely), then install the Z06's base (which has ten receiving, threaded holes in it for the bolts to put in the corner upright wickerbills). The good news if you choose to do this, is that the vertical bolt holes attaching both the Z-51 factory spoiler and the Z06 spoilers are identical in both diameter and spacing (so no patching nor repairing the Z-51's spoiler attaching bolt holes).

Or a much easier option that my friend did on his Z-51 that looks great and does not involve removing the factory Z-51 spoiler (but drilling into it with rivnuts).

To answer your question .. you cannot add stage 1, 2 or 3 winglets to a Z51 spoiler .. only a Z06 spoiler which has threaded holes for adding the winglets.

APR makes a z06 style spoiler with a wickerbill that fits a Stingray. It's carbon fiber only so it's pricey, but it sure looks pretty:

Looks like the one in the link uses the stock bolts so it fits under the Z51 spoiler.... Not a simple task... You would still have to remove the rear bumper to get to the mounting bolts...

By the way, here are some photos of the factory Z06 spoiler on a base coupe.

I'm confused. Your wife wants a bigger spoiler.... or you want a bigger spoiler?

I purchased the STAGE 2" REAR SPOILER EXTENSION 153.42.part number GM#23256573 and a screw rivet gun from amazon. I lined the end caps up marked the spots to drill the holes for the screwed rivets. Then applied the rivets with the rivet gun, next I bolted the wing extensions to the stock z51 spoiler. I did have to purchase longer Stainless steel screws from Home Depot painted them carbon flash to match spoiler extensions. See pics below

ion to my stock z51 sploiler.

Carbon C7 has stage 2/3 kit that does not include the Wickerbill, I got on a group buy at $599. It is designed for the C7 (nonZ06) and has been scaled down to fit....fyi
