Default Good Service!!

Many of us like to post about our troubles with the "Free" oil changes, and the disasters with the Dry Sump oil changes on our C7's.

I just took my Z51 M7, to a local dealer in a small town. Low volume C7 dealer for sure. Voice Motor Sales in Kalkaska, Michigan. Population, 2,000.

The service clerks treated me with kindness and respect, even though I probably had my 'don't F up my car' attitude showing a little.

The oil change tech spoke with me and let me know that he would not be working on my car, because he was not Corvette certified. I did discuss with him my jacking pucks and some of the common issues with the dry sump oil change. He was kind enough to listen.

While in the waiting room the service clerk came in and asked if I wanted Mobil 1, or Dexos. No difference to her. (I know Dexos is a certification not a specific brand) In GM speak Dexos is usually a blend of oil and synthetic oil, I think.

Got the car back with the oil EXACTLY halfway between full and needs a quart. PERFECT!

They did the airbag reprogram recall too.

They ordered the new hood latch pins, and will call me when the parts are in.

If they had donuts to go with the coffee, it would have been a perfect morning.

Not really news worthy, but when things go well I notice that too.

Always nice when things go the way they should.
There are ,amy good dealers out there, rather a surprise that there would be one in a small town like that. I think that you got a winner.
A nice post, I am sure that they deserve a pat on the back.

It's always nice to read about the good side of service, there sure isn't any shortage of the bad side on here.

Nice to read a positive spin on things for a change! I do my own oil changes but my experiences with my local dealer have been quite good. The most serious service was the fuel filler recall work, involving wheel and inner fender liner removal, along with part replacement. I was treated to coffe and donuts, introduced to the certified tech, and invited into the shop to witness the work! Naturally I accepted the offer.

Estero Bay Chevrolet (Estero Florida). Great dealership and service department. Staff is professional and courteous. They handle your Corvette w/ care.

Florida guys and gals, check em out, they offer Military, Supplier and Employee discounts (plus USAA) etc. They are one of the bigger Corvette dealerships in Florida. Good inventory of new cars w/ plenty of GS's.

Brought mine in for the last no-charge oil change, They did the Airbag recall and got the car back in less time than estimated. Lounge is excellent, donuts, cookies and fresh brewed single cup coffee w/ big screen TV, wi-fi and HP computers set up for customers to use.

Only thing missing is a back rub by Miss January.

Before I moved to SW Florida I belonged to Corvette Club who's sponsor was Bryner Chevrolet in Jenkintown PA. They were a family owned dealership and have the best Corvette tech in the tri-state area. Before I moved I asked the owner if he could recommend a dealership in SW Florida. He told me, "Estero Bay Chevrolet." After moving down here I joined the Corvettes of Naples Club and their sponsor is, Estero Bay Chevrolet. It's an excellent dealership with great owners and not only would I recommend them for service but I've also had 4 friends buy cars from them. Not all dealerships are dirt bags.
