Default Just my luck

Well I've had my 2017 grand sport Corvette for less than a week. I have 384 miles on it and it's in service for either a bad wheel hub or differential. In the four years that the C7 has existed I guess GM hasn't got all the kinks worked out yet.

It not about kinks, it's about suppliers. These parts are subbed out, and the manufacturers supply GM. Like any other massed produced parts there will be a bad one from time to time. Not to worry, they'll get her fixed and won't charge you a penny. Enjoy that new GS.

It could be 100 years - occasional errors will always happen because guess what? Humans are involved.

Well after working with mechanic and the mechanic calling GM for advice it was determined that it was not the rear differential or hub like the mechanic first thought. GM asked the mechanic and myself to drive two other cars that were on the lot and compare them to my car. It was determined the sound that was being made was from the tires being high performance . all three cars exhibited the same sound.

Wow I've had my GS one week and I have 650 miles on it. I better put it away if it's going to break. Great car!

Care to explain how high performance tire noises was thought to be a failed diff or hub? Seems strange

I just mentioned I heard a noise in the rear end and that's what they came up with.

I heard a noise from the front of my car when I first got it. Turns out it was the engine. Honest mistake.

I had my right headlight replaced since the turn signal stopped working within 20 days of owning my 2017 Grand Sport with less than 500 miles.

I just got back from a 1,573 mile trip in a 28-year-old Ferrari.... so, not to worry.

I've got more than 600,000 miles in Corvettes over the past 26-years and never has one left me stranded....

And on October 14 my C7 and I are embarking on a more than 5,000 mile trip.

Compass -

What symptoms did you/your car experience, icw "a bad wheel hub or differential"? Was it a noise? A vibration? Something else? Please let us know. I, and many other 2016 & 2017, owners, with automatic transmission, continue experiencing an irritating "warble noise," at approximately 1500 RPM, which is emanating from the rear end of the vehicle. The "warble noise" has not yet been isolated to date, and, therefore no remedy/solution has been identified to address our "warble noise" concerns.

Thank you for your update!
