Just look at the results from Car and Driver's Lightning Lap test at VIR a month go. The Z07 Grand Sport was only 1/10th second slower than the 911 GT3 RS 4.0.... Porsche's $200,000+ dollar dedicated track car almost got beat by a Grand Sport. That's all the affirmation I need to prove that I bought the right car.

From: Calgary, AB. There's a reason why white was the only color offered on every year Corvette. Proud Canadian German Jamaican!

almost....almost....it's either you win or lose, there is no almost.
That's the whole reason I bought this car. Also why I opted for the Z07 package and Comp seats on my GS. I bought this car to race on a track. Now that being said, I will thoroughly enjoy cruising around in it but I purchased a GS with one thing in mind. Racetrack. If I just wanted a sports car to "drive" as a weekend toy or everyday driver I would have bought a standard stingray/Z51. The Grand Sport IS a track car.

I'm sorry, but against Porsche's bread and butter track car, almost is good enough for me.
Lets not forget the fact that it also spanked the new McLaren 570s($220k), the 2017 Acura NSX(also $200k+), the Shelby GT350r, BMW M4 GTS($135k), the new Porsche Cayman GT4, and last but certainly not least, the new Audi R8 V10 Plus which also is a $200k car...
Well, no, it is a street car that kicks it on the track too. An actual track car would be brutal on the street. Also, there is no "need" to have to track the GS to be able to have some fun with its capabilities. People who bait GS owners with that are silly.

I agree completely. I personally bought the car because of the track capabilities. That doesn't mean that you have to buy a GS specifically for the track. Or the street for that matter. I wanted a track capable N/A sports car. The GS hits my needs on the head. In my opinion i get the best of both worlds with the GS. Incredible track performance mixed with all the creature comforts of owning a car like a Cadillac, ie Nav, heated and cooled seats, sat radio, etc.
Approximately 5 weeks was the estimate they mentioned when they first launched MT On Demand.

Like graj said, it's about a month or so. I don't personally have MTOD, but not only do all of their shows get uploaded a month early (Roadkill is a really good one btw if you haven't seen any of the episodes), they have all kinds of racing documentaries, movies, and live motorsports.
I think it's a good deal for $5 a month considering how much content is available. Like MT themselves said, it basically Netflix for car guys.

Exactly. You have hit the nail squarely on the head. I am very impressed with what GM has achieved with the GS. Amazing track performance without giving up comfort or tech or street-ability. Add in the other flavors of C7 and the customer has a WIDE range of price, personality, and performance to choose from. Fantastic.

It's only a third of the price AND you get an honest-to-goodness V8 instead of a little Euro 6.

Careful with that...there are a lot of guys around here who INSIST the Corvette experience is all about tracking.

The 911 is not on cup 2's. Keep that in mind. I'd expect both cars to be pretty even on most tracks with equal tires.
This. Kinda makes it an apples to oranges comparo. GS is cool and is a better deal no matter what, but put some regular street tires on the GS and see how it compares... Or toss a set of Cups on the P-car and see what happens.
