I don't, but my wife does. The C7 is a bit different to enter and exit, but it's not a problem now that she is used to the seats. The only problem she had was she couldn't sit in the 2LT/3LT heated/cooled seats as they caused her nerve damage to flare up. The seats in the 1LT don't have the panel that holds the cooling fan, and that made the difference for her. I'm sure you know this, but going to the dealer and trying one is the best way to tell if the C7 will fit you. Good luck, I hope it will.
I currently drive a 12 Centennial GS GS, I have a serious hip problem is the C7 easier to get into/out of than a C6?
I have a 16 c7 1lt. I had a total left hip replacement 6 weeks ago. Still can not drive car. Cannot get down low enough to get in without major pain. Cannot not get out on my own when I do get in. I have no problem with our two other cars. My doctor has a c7 also and is not sure how long it will be or if it will ever be a good option. I will wait till the 12 week mark and see it I can drive it and enjoy it. If not I will take the hit sell it and buy maybe a zl1 camero, something with a higher entry point.
I have an artificial hip and had a C7 for two years. It really wasn't hard to get in and out of but when you're using it as a daily driver ,running errands and such, iit's a bit low so it's stressed my hip. I sold it for a new Camaro. Very happy with both cars. But the Camaro sets a bit higher. If it was a garage queen or my third car , I would've kept it.
I assume you are thinking Automatic if a hip issue. The seats have more thigh support but will pinch you a bit with the thigh bolsters. Apparently this goes away as the seats wear in... others have repadded or removed thigh support padding. Due to the extra bolstering you will have a challeng in a C7 seat.
I also think it's harder to get in an out of a C7. I'm 45 but I have a somewhat bad hip. Doesn't hurt getting in and out of my C7 but it hurts a little if I do something like, say, run from the police.
I think they are very similar, perhaps the C7 is slightly more difficult, because the door doesn't swing open quite as far, but the stock C7 is slightly higher than the stock C6 so that made about an inch difference.
I have a manual C7 that I can get into...but I can't drive it. I have a broken ankle and am currently in a cast. There is a chance I may be medically unable to drive manuals going forward. If that's the case I will trade for an auto C7....They drive great!
I have a bit of arthritis in both hips and I daily drive my M7 without much trouble, as it is a 2lt it has the heated seats which help the pain.
So, in answer to your question, no, it is not easier to enter/exit than the C6 but the seats are way more supportive and the car is just much more Corvette than the C6.
The C4 through C7 have all been about the same to get in or out of if you get into and out of them properly. You put your butt in first and not your leg like you can do with other cars.
I am on my 5th Corvette over the last 40 years. Have bad knees and some arthritis. Hip pain is off and on depending on activity. I love the C7. It is quicker and more fun to drive than C6, once I get in it. The seats are better and give more support in C7 as was already said. Very happy with C7 for the above reasons but getting in and out of C6 was easier IMO.
