Sorry to bring up another thread about extended plans but reading other threads on the subject most will say that GMEPP is better then GMPP .I think they say this especially for Magnetic Ride Control cars because it is not covered with GMPP (ally) . Looking at the Ally web site under coverage and High-Tech Components it says Ride Control Suspensions is covered. The reason I'm bring this up the dealer I bought my 2017 GS from only sells GMPP and for Major Guard 0 deduct 84 months/56K $1347. I've had good experiences with this dealer and a major corvette dealer. This is quite a bit better then GMEPP quotes from others. What are your thoughts ? Thanks
The GS is fun car for me not an every day driver so I wanted a high time but low mileage plan. Looking at the Ally website coverage it seems to cover the same as GMEPP but I'm new to extended plans something I've never bought on cars or anything. My dealer also will cover tire damage (road hazard) for 0 deductible 5yrs $299.95. For the cost of these tires this sounds good also.

Well worth the cost for the "peace of mind" for 5 years.

Does it makes a difference in price if you buy at any time during the GM factory warranty period?
Apparently not. My buddy and I bought the GM plan at the same time from Dennis and the rates were identical even though he had a few days left on his BTB and I had more than a year and half left on mine. The plans clock starts ticking the day you purchase it, not the day the GM BTB expires. Mileage expiration occurs when the odometer hits the contracted mileage. Moral: Buy the GM plan just before your GM BTB expires I guess. You cannot buy the GM plan once your BTB expires, but I believe you can still purchase the Ally one. In certain states (Florida being one) the Ally plan is considered insurance and in those states it must be purchased in-state.

One comment saying it starts after BTB expires and another saying it begins at date of purchase. Could someone give input on which is correct.
I thought it to be at date of purchase.
The warranty time period starts on the date when purchased, but there is no need to file any claims until after the 3-year 36,000 mile BTB OEM GM warranty runs out or expires.
So if you buy the warranty when the C7 is delivered new for 84 months, 7 years later the warranty expires or the mileage option you selected, whatever comes first.
84 month:
Buy the C7 on 10/10/2016 warranty expires 10/10/2023 or if the C7 hits the mileage you selected on the plan.
