GM trolls all of us with C7's
Brand new C7 owner here. Who in the hell puts red/blue lights right next to each other ON THE REARVIEW MIRROR? On no less than 5 occasions, I have momentarily thought I was getting pulled over while playing in the car. I have only had it a week. Looks like I am going to have to put some tape over it.

I dunno. Maybe it's just me, but I have never had any trouble distinguishing between interior lights with strobing exterior lights of a police car. I ignore the former, but the latter gets my adrenaline going. Kind of a first world problem, I think.

You'll either get used to it, or become obsessed with it. Doesn't bother most of us, but you are not alone. There are a couple of thread about it.
Congratulations on your new car, and welcome to the forum!

I agree with the trolling sentiment. The lights being there do not bother me, but the shameless advertising that you cannot get out of your face does.

Better trade her in before they start blinking and making wambulance sounds.
I noticed them for about a day, now they just add to the interior ambiance.

As someone mentioned above, a couple pieces of 3M electrical tape might help. Sure, most would not want to add tape to their rearview mirror, but there are not a lot of options.
