Tried putting my Cell Phone, Billfold, Sun glasses behind the 8" display. Whew! Door got stuck on "open" command. Next I took out the center divider for the cup holder and the space is great for Billfold, Phone, Money clip. BUT I want a cup holder. Advise please !!
I guess I travel light. Sunglasses in case on driver's side door slot, wallet behind screen, cell phone and charging cord in the center console. Owners manual and registration in the glove box. That's about it. Marina and I will stuff a jacket and hat behind the seats and that is about it. Anything else needs to go in the trunk of our convertible.
I'm still a working stiff so I swap out between a few vehicles regularly. Truck, Van, Flatbed, Vette, or sometimes my wifes truck.
2 cell phones, IPad, wallet, money clip, checkbook, sunglasses, extra pair of scrip spectacles, cleaning cloth, small binoculars, flashlight, Benchmade Barrage if not a Protech TR-4, Glock 26 in a waist holster , two additional 15 round magazines in a pouch, business cards, nail clippers, Leatherman multi tool, bottle of water, sometimes a camera, and a couple of other miscellaneous items.
Driver door pocket gets some use for the wallet and the cup holder is now a phone holder. Keep my shades in a case in the glove box and the center console really doesn't get anything. That's about it for us.
After purchasing a Corvette I have no money so a billfold isn't a problem.
Isn't that the truth!
I put my sunglasses behind my screen, my wallet in the center console, and my water bottle in the cupholder. I don't have anything else other than my laptop bag when driving to/from work which goes on my passenger seat.
compact umbrella in the door pocket, sunglasses behind the infotainment screen, flashlight and small stuff in the armrest, wallet and phone in my pockets, cup holders available to hold cups.

Sunglasses on my face, billfold in my pocket, phone in the pass seat.
Modern car manuals take up too much room. Doubly-so in the Corvette. PDF on smart phone solves the problem. Darn shame that a pdf on a thumb drive can't be displayed on the console screen. That would be even better. I'm estimating that GM will figure this out by the year 2035.
