Default Blurry HUD?

On my new Z51 it looks like the HUD is blurry sometimes. Mainly when I sit high up in the seat or when I have the HUD positioned higher up on the window it looks like there are double numbers. If I move it down or especially sit lower it goes away.

Anyone else experience this? It's a brand new car and the window does have the GM HUD sticker.

Mine is very clear at any angle. I've read on here where someone's HUD projector was not properly secured and the screws had to be re-tighten, which involved removing the dash. I'd take it to the dealer and have them look at it.

Try cleaning the projection system right in front of the wheel on the dash. Might be when they detailed it for delivery they got some cleaner on the lens and made it blurry in some places. Worth a try.

If it's clear sometimes and blurry other times, cleaning the clear cover over the HUD projector certainly isn't going to do anything. The problem is your seating position and/or the height adjustment you select for the display.

You should be able to find a comfortable seating position that allows a clear HUD view unless you are either very tall or very short.

I noticed that almost all Chevrolet/GM service departments have the same line: "It's normal". It's like you're the moron.

Sure it is...the service department experts at Chevrolet said so!!!!

I think "it's normal" means that other owners have had the same complaints and Chevy doesn't have a clue on how to fix it until it's out of warranty.

Just so we know what I'm referring to I have a few sample pics below. This isn't my camera doing the blur at all although I realize it's a bit pixelated, that's from the zoom. This is what I actually see. Crouching way down in the seat will make it go away but my eyes are almost in line with the steering wheel.

Looking at the top of the hud window, it looks like there 'could' be tiny bubbles there from some sort of film, but I don't see anywhere to peel it off at all, and it's a long shot that that's what it is, that in itself might be a stretch.

I'll definitely show these pics to my dealer, but yeah, I got the "That's normal" response.
