C7 Makes the Consumer Reports Recommended List
Copied from the GM Authority website.......Corvette is the only sports cars making the list. Kudo's to the Corvette Team!
"Real estate is limited on Consumer Reports‘ “Recommended” list. However, the 2016 C7 Corvette made the cut, along with the two other Chevrolets.
The C7 Corvette was named to the list for its much-improved reliability, after gathering data from the latest Automotive Reliability Survey results. For what it’s worth, no other sports cars are listed by CR on the list, meaning the Corvette has carved some territory all its own.
The 2016 Corvette is joined by the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro as recommended, and the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze, which ousted the 10th-generation Honda Civic for the compact car spot. The 2017 Cadillac XT5 also made the cut for the reliability list."
What i can't see is how the XT5 made it... it just came out and there just can't be enough stats on it to make such a positive recomendation... Just watch, next year they'll say it's the model to avoid!
I love CR and Corvettes. I summoned up the courage to buy my C5 based in part upon CR's report of reliability. They loved the handling of the C7 when it came out, but banished it from their recommended list because of reliability issues. I'm very glad that the feedback from owners has improved enough to put it in their good graces. It's possible that the 2014 model was plagued by typical first-year issues; or that the number of users replying to CR was too low for a really good sample. Either way, the current state of affairs increases the likelihood that when one of you is ready to sell your C7 for the just-released C8, I'll be there, checkbook in hand.

My 2014 has only been in the shop for oil changes and the air bag recall, and it has almost 19,000 miles! I would say mine is pretty darn reliable.
