Default Ahhhhhh

Well gents ....good to be back. I took a 10 month hiatus from my 2014 C7 after selling and diving head first into a brand new 2016 Camaro SS...all in all very nice experience same engine/trannie ...way different vibe all together. But I digress....the Gen6 had a wicked note , far deeper far more often than does the C7... I want that back. I am not sure if it was the "Tri-header" system or what but .. I would like to get back there. 'That said are we talking LTH plus going cat-less or....get different non GM mufflers or..do I have to scrap the NPP and get another system (ugh).
Make me hip to what the best process is gents

I hunk I'd add a Borla x pipe that removes the rear cats and try this first keeping the NPP exhaust.

I agree about the Gen6 sounding way better- I thought it was just me. Keep us posted as to what you find to get closer to that sound with your C7.

Interesting and that will not throw a code ? Is it able to be switched back for resale?

Here's what I did to mine and I absolutely love it. Car has not been tuned yet I am not getting the dreaded check engine light...the only down side is that I'm burning a lot more gas now, because I can't keep my foot out of it

X-pipe is relatively easy to switch back.

I have tried both:

1. Corsa Double Helix X pipe. Easy install, adds a little extra rumble, deletes second set of factory cats. Worth the $500, yes.

2. LG Super Pro's, catted X, factory NPP. Nice bark at start up, little rumble at cruise speeds, screams bloody murder at WOT! And with a good tune you will see a noticeable difference in performance.

If you go with LT's, do catted. Many guys running catless say it smells, and the sound is not good,
