I shipped 4 Z06 tires a couple of months ago and Fedex was the preferred way to go. You should be able to band the two tires together as mentioned earlier as it will be cheaper than to ship each separately. Go to the Fedex website and enter the dimensions and weight to get the cost estimate. It should be close to the actual cost. I went to a lumber yard and they had a banding machine and banded two of the tires together at no cost to me. UPS was too expensive and if I remember right the tires were too big for USPS or too expensive. I was limited to Fedex.
Not familiar with Shipnex.com but it is common for FedEx, UPS and DHL to give 50+% discounts to larger shippers. Would not doubt Amazon gets much better than that!
If shipping outside of US, "FedEx Great Rates" provides deep discounts of 60 to 75% to a small business or home shipper!
I recently worked at fedex as loader when I retired to keep myself active. Make sure you put LOTS of "Ship to", "Ship from" labels on your packages. I cant count the number of times labels get ripped of during handling - remember your packages get on and off numerous vehicles and the belt that they're on as the package winds its way thru the shipping/routing facility is huge and the packages get pretty messed up. I'll leave out commentary about the abilities of my fellow package handlers especially as the newbies come on board during the holidays.....

Both UPS and FedEx apply Special Handling charges to anything that isn't shaped like a box. They also have an oversize box charge. When I have compared UPS and FedEx rates to ship tires they have both been within 30 dollars of each other. One comparison for shipping 4 Cup2 tires from PA to NC shows 266 for UPS and 236 for FedEx. Neither one is cheap for the casual shipper and at those prices pretty much ruin a deal. The best way to ship them is through a business account or by commercial carrier on a pallet.

yep...wouldn't hurt to put a couple of labels "inside" the tires.
