No money wasted as it is just photoshopped so I could get opinions.
Not playing with the membership here. Every time I walk by the front of my car I picture it without the bumperettes. I was looking for opinions on it. Isn't that what forums are all about? Geez.
Minor, maybe but I thought it to be major. It would not be an easy change and there are no "bolt on" parts for this. All said and done I suspect it would be a couple thousand dollars to modify it and have it look good as in not bondo'd.
And yes actually the fact almost no one picked up on it so it would be subtle but certainly different. It's funny how after posting the original picture everyone hated it but they didn't even notice it before LOL.
There is so little that I don't like about the car that it leaves almost nothing to change/customize. I don't like the bumperettes though.

Yes thanks for the information. I found the picture online. Photoshopped it. Posted it and addressed that buying it had nothing to do with what I was asking in post 3. The picture I chose was based on the angle, color and resolution and just happened to be at a dealership.
I was specifically seeing if anyone would notice and what people thought of it. What I didn't expect is the lack of observation skills of the people here. I thought it was such a major change that it would be outted in the first few posts. Some of the posts make it sound like I was trying to deceive and trick the membership. WOW what a touchy bunch. I obviously hit a nerve by not coming out and saying exactly what was done, why and asking a straight forward, direct question.
It obviously is much more subtle than I thought. This is good in a way because I was not looking for something that sticks out like a sore thumb. No giant wings, no radical graphics, no wide body kits, no ground effect kits, etc. Also nothing that isn't easily reversible.
This is one of the silliest threads I've had the misfortune to click!
Please explain what is silly? Is it asking others for opinions on a potential modification? Or is it the couple thousand dollars I'm considering spending on it? Maybe it's just silly to consider taking the serrated edge off the front of the car?
Just what exactly is silly about it? I'm dead serious about it. It wasn't easy photoshopping that picture to make it look right.

Try installing a poverty splitter and have it painted the color of the car. It would blend into to the bumper and give it a similar look to the photo shoped picture.

Actually a pretty good thread.
I usually am pretty good at finding differences between pictures, but I never thought to examine the front bumper area. Removing those bumperettes does change the front end...I think it's not too bad of an idea.

"Geez"? Funny, the following quotes you wrote don't sound much like asking for opinions. They sound like you're playing games.
When you figure it out, a simple Yes or No will do. Don't want to give it away.
I'm rather surprised that no one has given a genuine answer to the question yet.
I apologize, I thought the change was so dramatic that it would be instantly noticed.
I find it funny that it had 300 views and maybe 1 person noticed the difference before I posted the before picture.
What is the real purpose of those little bumperettes, or fangs? Why are they showing up on lots of new cars? Aerodynamics? Looks?
Anybody know?
They are there to prevent pedestrians from being forced under the front wheel if hit in an accident. Nothing new, a similar device was fitted on the front bumper of steam locomotives around 1900 to through animals to the side of the track.

So they're supposed to push them off to the side. Interesting.
