Feeling pretty humble, guys, as I realize I really should take driving lessons for my new car. Having driven an SUV my whole life, I have been psyched on the speed and power of my new baby, but I want to learn how to maximize its full potential, without hurting myself or my car I feel like I need to learn how to drive all over again!
I've heard about autocross or the SCCA and those seem like they would be awesome. Does anyone have any imput?? THX!!

First of all, congrat and welcome to the biggest corvette club in the world. Second, the link above is to the Ron Fellows school. It gets amazing reviews and many on this forum have gone through it and swear by it. I was considering it myself. Any questions you have about the car, pose them here. You always will get an answer. Albeit sometimes not the one you wanted.
Agree with everyone above. A Spring Mountain course is the obvious first choice, but many areas have SCCA-sanctioned Auto-X events. Local chapters usually have experienced instructors who conduct courses for beginners. That's also a good way to get a feel for the handling characteristics of the car, as well as the limits of grip.
Check out your local Porsche Club Driver Skill days. They typically cost $100 or so for a full day of instructors and various skill exercises. Some of the Porsche Club instructors even own Corvettes.
Here's the link to the school for Pacific NW club: http://www.pnwr.org/Track/driver_skills/default.asp
I even like to take my new cars there for a day to understand their limits before I venture out to a track. I've also volunteered as an instructor. Great group of people and you'll do exercises on dry and wet track (they hose it down for wet track exercises).
You also get to check out some very cool cars. Corvette guys and Porsche guys get along well at least in my neck of the woods.
You'll enjoy "learning how to drive again"....when my wife and I are in my daily driver (2008 Acura TL Type S), she constantly has to remind me that "this is NOT the Corvette" !!!!
You should see my passenger seat when I load it up at Costco with my (coupe) top down
I've actually done a pretty good job filling mine at Home Depot with the top down. Just moved into a "fixer-upper". No sports car is stopping my Home Depot runs!
