Which are the best pucks? Composite ones from WildVettes with the eyebolt that you remove when not using or the permanently mounted aluminum ones with the half round top that fit in the frame slots?

That depends on you. The best ones for me were the zl1addon aluminum leave in pucks. I put them in 10 months ago and forget they're even there.

I popped in the plastic ones 16 months ago and they are still there.

The best ones for me are the leftover aluminum ones from my '09 Z06. They fit perfectly, and were essentially free. They are also taller so give more leeway in regards to the rocker panels.

I keep them in the rear cubby so they are always available.

Not what I have, which are aluminum 2 1/2 inch diameter, 2 inch high aluminum that clear my side skirts but ones from Reverse Logic, a forum vendor.

Here is why. They are 2 1/2 inch diameter that clear all rocker panels and what GM recommends. They can be bolted on temporarily when going for service. With my aluminum pucks I put them on the passenger seat in a clear plastic bag, tell the service scheduler to be sure the mechanic uses them and HOPE he does!

Mechanics are often on incentive and don't take the time to use them. With the Reverse Logic pucks no need to caution, would install them first.

When doing my own work would use them like I do the aluminum ones I have and just insert and remove when finished. Will get them for my planned GS and sell mine with my 2014.

I did the ZL1 Addons jack pads... the GM service tech raved about how great it was to have those on there. Made lining up their swing arms easy and they only had to put on one set of plastic pucks instead of the usual two.

I would prefer if they were a bit higher to remove the need for ANY plastic pucks, but at least I know they won't be scraping anything on the road.

I have the snap-in plastic pucks I bought in 2006 for my then-new C6 on my C7. Literally over ten years on the road with zero issues and always there when you need them.

FWIW, The ones I bought for my C5 (not the leave-in type though), work well on my C7
