Just got an email for updating my Nav software. I typically in the past on do this every 3+ years. To this 2014-15 owners that have updated, did you notice anything more current than what came with your car?
And yes, I use a variety of tools for navigation including the cars system so don't need any "advice" on using Google Maps on my phone instead
My car is a March 2014 build, and I have been considering updating them also.
I think new maps are issued in December, so will probably wait until next year.
If anyone knows for sure please share.

Better to wait a couple of years. Not sure how GM does things but I suspect their map loads don't contain all of the current data. I know my 2008 C6 Nav system didn't have roads in it that had been in place for at least 10 years and when I installed the last GM released update in 2013 those roads weren't in the database yet. They were on my Garmin, Google Maps and Waze.
Just got another email offer with $20.00 discount and free shipping.
I called and was told the Update was released in August 2016, Since I have a March built 2014, I am thinking it may include some new roads in the area.
Still do not understand why Google Maps and WAZE has instant update capability and none of the Car manufacturers do.
Anybody bought this 2017 version as they are calling it.
