What am I missing?
Went and got the second fob, said I needed to point the key (at something, I don't know where) and again would not start.
Took my wife's car to dinner and when I got home, searched for my #1 fob, which was in my pocket. It has no key on it, so what's the "key message" all about?
Sorry, can't find my owner's manual either, or I'd look it up.
November 19th will be the 3rd anniversary of picking up the car. Just over 7,500 miles on the odometer. Still contemplating the purchase of a service agreement. Thoughts/comments?
Thanks.
There is a FOB slot under the steering column where you can insert the FOB when the car can't find it.
Replace your FOB batteries.

There can be many reasons the car won't recognize a fob (most have to do with signal interference), but with your car being 3 years old, the most likely reason is that the fob battery weak. Replace it and see what happens.
Not sure if you meant your key was missing, or if you just didn't know where it resides.
I am curious about a message that said point the fob/key at something. Never heard of any message like that, before.
