Back on October 31 i brought my 2015 A8 with just over 10K miles on it back to the dealer for a "shutter" in the transmission. It was horrible to drive especially when it was in V4 mode.
The service manager went with me for a ride to observe firsthand the problem. He worked with Chevrolet who assigned a engineer to correct my problem. OK it did take 16 days and several smaller repair attempts before they replaced the torque converter. The car runs better than ever. They did a great job. They gave me a loaner car, yeah a 4 cylinder Malibu, and covered the entire cost.
This dealer is Barton Chevrolet in Newburgh, New York. They were wonderful to work with. I am a happy vette owner. BTW This is my 4th vette.
I have the same shudder. I feel it the worst at around the lower 60'smph range. I took My 2016 A8 in and the dealer has said they thinks its my custom wheels. I said no way since I have felt this since the day I bought it. They want me to bring my factory wheel in so that they can swap them and drive it again to verify. I deploy quite a bit as a contractor so this will be some time before I can get this rectified. Nice to see other dealers are changing the TQ Conv. with no hassle.
Mine has been at the dealer since October 18. I was supposed to get it back yesterday, but they haven't finished replacing the torque converter. Maybe Monday they say. It's been a trail of trial and error until a Chevy engineer came to town last Monday to drive it. He said to replace the torque converter. Stingray A8-3LT. Much drama.
