Put it on Race Ramps FlatStoppers. Gets it up off the concrete and keeps the run flat tires from developing a flat spot.

1/2 tank of gas with Stabil, trickle charger and fresh oil.

I am in an unheated garage in New England. Historically, I never put anything under the tires---the car just sat on the concrete floor from late November until late March--never had a problem with flat spots. I over inflate the tires by some 7-8 psi-------think the psi called for on the door jam is 30 psi, and I filled them to between 36 and 38 psi or so this year. I will check the psi in late January. I have always filled the gas tank, with no Stabil or anything added---did so again this year. Then 2 days ago my son-in-law tells me he stores his older Cadillac with next to no gas. He said he has always done this, as has everyone in his family------he said nobody ever had a problem?????? His uncles always said either fill the tank or leave it empty........most in his family leave it as empty as possible.

I only put about 2,500 to 4,000 miles on the car each season. I let the car sit for the 3-4 winter months with the existing oil in it------then I have the oil changed in late March or early April for the new season. I think I read somewhere that about 60% of the owners change their oil before storing it away for the winter, and 40% change it to start the new season................I bet there are some that probably do it both times.

I also put those Bounce dryer sheets under the hood (3-4); one on each tire; one at the base of each tire; I cover the exhaust pipes with some of that garden cloth that helps prevent weeds from growing (use twine to tie it around the exhaust pipe openings---and I put a Bounce sheet on top); hook up the battery tender; drape the car with the 4 huge bed comforters I have been using for 15 years.............and then curse GM and Michelen all winter for not providing us with all season run flats (even all season non-run flats) for these great cars.

I sure hope there aren't too many people on here doing that, what a massive waste of money! (especially if you have a dry sump car, and are throwing away 9+ quarts of brand new perfectly good oil)

I read it on one of the Corvette forums 2-3 years ago........so it must be accurate, right? But seriously, I did read on one of the Forums (maybe the C6 general discussion), and figured what do I have to lose......so I did it last year and again this year. The story is that the mice don't like the smell and they move on.

I top off all fluids(inc. gas), over inflate the tires to 40 lbs, add StaBil, clean, detail, plug-in and cover. Never had a problem.

Bounce sheets work well keeping mice away. So does peppermint oil on cotton *****. Most animals are very sensitive to peppermint. Had to use it years back.

The engineers tell you that (1/4 tank) because it almost guarantees you'll fill it with fresh gas in the Springtime!

No need in my opinion. I stored mine last year. When I took it out in the Spring there was a very slight flat spot which when away within a mile of driving.

Pick up a cheap mist sprayer(for potted plants) at Walmart and spray the diluted (50/50 with water) peppermint oil on the floor around the car and on the tires and around any openings where mice might try and enter the garage. Re-spray the peppermint oil every month or so.

Also don't store things that mice can use for bedding in your garage and don't keep dry pet food in open containers(use a metal can with a metal lid).
