I recently purchased a new C7 Stingray. What a wonderful car. I was making the rounds under the hood to check the fluid levels. What I am most interested in in the windshield washer reservoir tank. They say to fill it up when outside temperature warm and 3/4 full when cold. My filler tube and reservoir (I can't see it) appear to be black plastic. Consequently, I can't see how much fluid is in the tank. Is there a way to know how much is in there? I haven't seen a message in DIC that it is low and the mechanism seems to be working well.
I can't answer that... but interesting question. I can't see why you can't fill up the tank to full if you use windshield washer fluid that has an anti freezing agent. Its not like the liquid will expand that much in the cold.

I see you're in DC, Tom. If you see a black on black on black C7 convertible, don't forget to honk and wave. My office is on Independence Ave, SW.
Perfect! Will do. Live in Potomac and work at Georgetown as a liver transplant physician. Have a good weekend. Black on black; sweet. I have a torch red on black.

thanks for info,

. Fill the washer fluid tank only
three-quarters full when it is
very cold. This allows for fluid
expansion if freezing occurs,
which could damage the tank
if it is completely full.
Unless you use a cheap washer fluid that freezes at +32 degrees, it won't be a problem in DC area as most quality products don't freeze until -20 degrees F.
