At least once a week I take my wife out to dinner. It was pretty good. When I'm driving my car I play a little sometimes. Well last night was one of those times, Windows down music on just a nice evening. Anyway I was in the mood to play with my car. Driving about 40mph the traffic was all clear so I kicked the car in the back side and the car took off like a rocket my wife threw her hands up in the air and she started calling me all sorts of good names and said dont ever do that again are you crazy. Do you want me to throw up in your car. It was dark so I didn't know if she was sleeping. The good news is that she was calmed down by the time we got home. But you would have to of been there it was funny. now my car is just a base model coupe with A8 and NPP
As I'm getting more comfy and in tune with my M7 I got 5 weeks ago, I've gotten more "tactful" in my driving you could say. Her comment...getting more comfortable eh? I usually say 'hang on' before I hit it.
Great story, have done the same thing and got the old "what is wrong with you, are you nuts". But on the other hand if I tell her in advance she is cool with the speed.
Going WOT is not something to do without warning your passenger. It's not likely, but you could hurt someone that way, besides pissing them off.
If I did that with my wife in the car, she would never get in it again! Fortunately seldom drive with her in it, since it is no fun!
In fact will never make a 1 "g" turn with anyone in the car. I do make those from time to time as well as shift out of 3rd at redline passing farm fields! If I am going to have an "off-the-road-excursion" I'll only risk the car and myself!
Have never had an accident with another car in over 50 years of driving (looking for wood.) However have had a few "off-the-road-excursions" (as I refer to them,) but only two needed a repair, a fender on my 260Z and Jeep roll bar and windshield! Fortunately not me!
