Question for those with "transparent" coated aftermarket wheels
I am considering ordering a set of forged forgeline or similar wheels with a transparent red finish for my 16 z06 that is white with red interior. I have a few questions:
1) Is the transparent coating a paint or powder coat?
2) How easy to clean/maintain the Finish?
3) How susceptible is this finish to scratchs and nicks, and can they be touched up with paint, etc.?
I am currently considering forgelines as much con cavity as possible in the standard z06 19/20 setup.
Thanks in advance

It is transparent clear powder coat. this process works unbelievably well, and is the easiest thing for wheels I've ever done. I wrote it up here a couple years ago, when I got my new Forgelines and still do it today every couple months.

Considering Forgelines
1) Is the transparent coating a paint or powder coat? Not sure. The look is amazing. I have transparent smoke, I think.
2) How easy to clean/maintain the Finish? I use detail spray (Adams)
3) How susceptible is this finish to scratches and nicks, and can they be touched up with paint, etc.? No scratches after 7,000 miles and six races.
I am currently considering Forgelines as much con cavity as possible in the standard z06 19/20 setup. Dude, these wheels are flawless.
Thanks in advance
