Have had new 2017 GS avout 3 months with the GM hash marks decals in the trunk. Wasn't sure if I wanted on the car but today is the day for me to install. Have watched some videos and read the GM instructions. With wet application doesn't look very hard. Has anyone done a DIY install and have any suggestions?
GM instruction says tools needed include "hair dryer" but don't tell you anything about using it. I assume after decals on fender and paper removed you use to dry?

Thought they were installed at Bowling Green?? Would not be happy even if it were a dealer install compared to the factory with placement fixture and someone who has done a number before mine!
I do like the hash marks, its one of several identifiers that the car is a Grand Sport. So, its just personal preference. I have never installed a set so good luck!
Our new Grand Sport was ordered with the Carbon Flash Hash marks, HOWEVER....... we received the "gray" Hash marks, even though the car was correctly ordered.....
New set arrived at my dealer Wednesday, and I'm taking the car in next week to get them swapped out..... Dealer said they bring in a guy who does this type of work, rather than their techs doing it.
While there, I'll get the 500 mile Oil / filter change done too
Hopefully, they'll be installed in the same exact location
I did the DIY installation this morning. It is perfect, very easy, follow instruction and no air bubbles. Looks just like ones on dealer floor that I inspected.
