Ok I need to know what I am doing wrong. 2016 Z51 7M when car play is connected I have no bluetooth only speakerphone. When I check bluetooth on my phone it isn't connected. When I try to connect I get a message on the car screen saying I must unplug phone to activate bluetooth. Is this normal? If so then car play is a complete waste. Any help?

ok so my seat won't go back to the set seat position when car is started. It will complete easy exit but on shut off however sometimes when I enter car and start it the seat and wheel will not go to the set position. So I hold in the button on the setting I had and it just moves a tiny bit. If I hold it nothing happened but if I keep hitting it every time I do it moves a tiny bit until after like 15 pushes it goes to the set position. What is this? Anyone else have this issue? How was it fixed if it was? Thank you it is driving me crazy.

make sure you are using the correct FOB......

When I set up my memory functions I had both FOB's in the car. Kept having the same seat memory issues you described...... re set it a dozen times, with no luck. Tried switching to the other FOB and guess what? ..... All good.

Dumb question here - how do you know which fob is which? i have 2 fobs that are identical that do not have the little dots, or numbers showing it to be 1 or 2

not dumb...... I can't tell the difference either. My old C6 FOB's had a barely noticeable 1, or 2 on it.

I put a house key on the FOB that I use all the time, and no keys on the spare. I had been trying to get my seat memory to properly work with the FOB with keys.... after 2 weeks and a dozen re programming attempts, I decided to try the other FOB and it worked first time to my settings. I've switched the house key to THAT FOB now.

You can also put a small dot of tape on one of the FOBS to mark which is which too.

For your Bluetooth issue, try deleting the car from your phone, and your phone from the car, then re-pair them. I had to do that after my air bag recall and alls good now.

For the seat, it sounds like you may have the easy exit set too far back so it's hitting the limiter switch. That can screw things up. Try setting the easy exit position an inch further forward and see if that helps.

Mine does the same, I believe that's the way CarPlay works. All iPhone functionality goes to the CarPlay screen instead of Bluetooth. You can still control all with voice commands.

Another point for M7 owners who's seat does not return to the programmed seat position when you enter the car and push start - check to make sure that when you parked you set the eBrake. If you didn't then the seat will not move forward. Stupid I know.

How do you check? Well if you push in the clutch, hit start and the seat does not move forward then sit there for a few seconds and check the DIC. Does it indicate that the eBrake is on?

What I've found is that if you didn't set the eBrake then you won't move forward. Now I usually set the eBrake whenever I park. I've been trying to make it a good habit. But sometimes I still forget.

I have no idea why the eBrake doesn't set automatically when Easy Exit is triggered. That'd be a nice update.

there is definitely something that is not functioning properly. I always set the ebrake and yes the easy exit is a little far back but sometimes it works fine and others it doesn't move. My concern is with the memory buttons. I push and the seat nudges a bit then I must keep pushing it to get it to move a tiny bit at a time. its interesting because it seems every second push gets the seat to move slightly until it finally is in position. This is definitely not right.

CarPlay currently only supports wired connections, so you are correct.

At some point there should be a "Bluetooth" version of the system. Don't know if the update happens on the phone, to the car, or both. If it's to the car, well all of us who already own cars are SOL as GM doesn't update their already released infotainment systems... EVER. You have to buy a new car.

When starting the car, there is a message in the center screen of the tach telling you which fob you have
