Sorry, but I have to ask: Why not drive it to work every day?

It seems that most "garage queen" owners have no problems at all waiting to drive them.

He's saving it for the next owner? Just kidding. Some people, when they have something they really like, try to keep the item as perfect as possible. Even to the extent that they enjoy saving it rather than using it. Just a human quirk. We all have our own. Believe me I know from personal experience. Not with my car though. I bought it one year ago as of Dec 1st and it has 23,600 on it. I can't stay out it! That's my quirk.

I drive mine (4K miles in 3 months) but just not to work....never will. I just don't think it sets the image to my employees and customers that I want. But I sure don't begrudge those that do and in a different work environment I would

I had to drive mine to work everyday and had to park on a busy street. I hated it.

I drive mine whenever I can, but I work from home. Does that make it a DD?

You guys may be right. My lease is up in a year on my DD, so I will decide then!! Maybe just keep 1 car, and buy a nice C3 as a garage queen instead!!

It's a beauty for sure David. I understand the comment about driving the "Garage Queen". My two C6's were "GQ's", but at the time I wasn't retired. And there was no way I was going to put either in the parking lot at work. To many idiots that had no consideration for others. Now that I'm retired my C7 isn't quite a "Garage Queen", but not a DD either. I think in my little mind that it makes those beautiful days when I do get 'er out a bit more beautiful.

When I drive my truck for 3-4 days in a row, getting back into the Vette is like getting into a new car all over again. I just love driving this car!!

What a great place to own a Vette; five minutes out of town you're tooling down I84 or even better, the old Gorge Highway to Hood River.....ah I still miss those days..............

Could be a number of reasons for not driving the Vette every day - bad parking at work, inconsiderate people banging into the car, etc. It really just comes down to a personal preference by the owner. It's not a wrong decision either way.

I live in Nebraska and am still driving mine. So far, the weather has been good. I will drive it as much as possible through the winter months.

I live in northern Ohio so mine hibernates during the winter.....but once spring comes I drive everyday including to work unless I know it's going to rain. I have put just under 20,000 on her in 2 years. It feels like a special treat every time I drive her.
