Adding another layer between vehicle and ground won't reduce scraping, it only changes the surface being scraped.
This is like a heal or toe anti-scuff pad, it protects your shoe's sole but is a wear/friction item and will need to be replaced at some point. This protects the factory surface but will need replacing.

I totally agree..I'd rather these pads get damaged than my bumper. The main issue with the bumper scraping is I can see little dangly shredded bits. OCD issues...I know. These are easily replaceable once worn down to much. Kind of like those fang protectors for the radiators.

I was going to fill in that gully and use the pvc to allow rain water thru and down the street. May do it when I get c7......

Can you just do that? I'm sure here in Los Angeles, some gov't type would come by and make you take it back out.
I'm pretty sure you won't need a permit from the city to bolt on some skidplates....
plus the plates work for the driveway at the gas station, grocery store, movie theater...
How can adding anything fix the problem? What you are doing is adding even more material which effectively lowers that portion of the car even lower to the ground.
I've never had an issue either angling or backing into where I wanted to go and my car is lowered. Before I hung something like that on my car I'd raise the stock bolts. Each to their own.

Not to mention, drilling holes into my car gives me the heebie jeebies (how is a hole any different than a scrape from a 'damage' perspective?).

Everybody has got their own thing, to be sure.
I've made the parts so they are barely noticeable once they are on the car, so for me they are not an issue visually...
But a C7 corvette sitting 1/2 " higher than stock looks super weird to my eyes, in fact, I'm one of those who typically are looking for a way to run a bit lower!
Do you leave it down all the time? Or just get it out to drive the Vette into the driveway? I feel like someone would come along a take it if I just left it there.
