This is like a heal or toe anti-scuff pad, it protects your shoe's sole but is a wear/friction item and will need to be replaced at some point. This protects the factory surface but will need replacing.

Nice to see some options now. I was looking for some a while back lol.
I ended up making some make-shift rubber ramps that I leave on my driveway.
I made a short video on it a while back (sorry amateur video skills here lol)
& these are the rubber mats I used

Just take things slow and at an angle. My car is lowered all the way on the factory pre-load springs AND has a GTX splitter. All good.

Adding another layer between vehicle and ground won't reduce scraping, it only changes the surface being scraped.

glad to see that some of you have picked up a set, and are liking them. as a small business owner, and the designer and manufacturer, it is pretty satisfying to see that folks are happy.
I'll be happy to answer any questions any of you might have, and also, I'm excited to announce that we now have a product for the C6 grand sport and Z06 models.

Looks like a good solution, thanks for sharing it.........I had this problem with my C5Z. I was actually going to solve my driveway problem with some concrete and some pvc pipe. I was going to fill in that gully and use the pvc to allow rain water thru and down the street. May do it when I get c7......

I'm pretty sure you won't need a permit from the city to bolt on some skidplates....
plus the plates work for the driveway at the gas station, grocery store, movie theater...

I Not yet, but I am looking for a car with stage 2/3 aero on it, to work up the prototypes.
If you know anyone in the Los Angeles area, my shop is in Gardena.
Any borrowed cars get a free skid plate kit, installed, for free.
Thanks,
Mitch

I've never had an issue either angling or backing into where I wanted to go and my car is lowered. Before I hung something like that on my car I'd raise the stock bolts. Each to their own.

Not to mention, drilling holes into my car gives me the heebie jeebies (how is a hole any different than a scrape from a 'damage' perspective?).

I've made the parts so they are barely noticeable once they are on the car, so for me they are not an issue visually...
But a C7 corvette sitting 1/2 " higher than stock looks super weird to my eyes, in fact, I'm one of those who typically are looking for a way to run a bit lower!
C7 with installed ProTEKt skidplates
thanks,
Mitch
