Beautiful day here in FLA. so decided to take the Vette to lunch with a couple retired friends. While on my way I looked at the steering wheel and boom it hits me, the center piece (aluminum trim ring) is shaped just like a Stingray. Also the trim pieces on the dash surrounding the HUD another Stingray. Don't know why it took so long to see this, on my 3rd C7, and 2 days a week I volunteer at the local Marine Science Center where I help feed a group of Cownose Stingrays.
Good catch! Only problem is now I am going to be looking around for other subliminal images. The center of the wheel sure does look like it was intended to look like a Stingray...or a Mola mola.
Funny, that hit me the very first time I saw the steering wheel. Also, the chrome delineators on the infotainment screen buttons always remind me of that shape. Subtle nods to it in a couple other features, too.
Does the same go for the opposite? I hate hearing people call them " Stingray Z06's "
You think that's bad! (queue family guy style cut scene) "Check out this awesome C6 Stingray!" There was no C6 Stingray. "Sure there is, it's not a GS or Z06, so, it's a Stingray!"
