Default Change thermostat

in the last couple of weeks I noticed my fan running when I got out of the car. In looking at the electronic gauge I noticed my temperature going from around 200 up to 240 in seconds and then going back down almost as fast. I am about to turn 56,000 miles so I'm out of warranty. Back around 22,000 miles I had an over heating issue which required a couple of trips to the dealership. Eventually the thermostat was changes and problem solved. I think I might try that again. In looking at the engine, it looks like changing the thermostat is a pretty easy job so I might try it out. Has anyone done this yet? any issues?

Thanks
Gary

If you had the same problem at 22,000, the dealer might still cover it under warranty. It's worth asking, at least. Good luck!

It should be covered under the 5/100 (2014 & 2015, 2016+ is 5/60) warranty.
