Road Trip
Time for a road trip! Tomorrow my daughter and I will head out to deliver my mother's new car. I plan to stop in Richmond VA for an oil change then drive until I'm tired and spend the night somewhere. Tuesday we will meet both my parents and my son in Jacksonville where we will visit for the day/evening. Wednesday we will hop in my son's car and head back north I expect to get home on Thursday evening. Nothing like spending 4 days driving only to end where I started without so much as one day break to hit the beach or something. The summer tires have me a little concerned for the start of the trip but once they warm up it should be fine. I hope to get some good pictures along the way!

i was going to fly down and drive back with my son in his WRX, he is in his third year of Law School at Florida University and coming home for the holiday break. Then my mother decided to buy the Grand Sport it change the plans a little but it's all good. Everyone is happy in the end But I will be doing a lot of driving for the next several days.

My mother was afraid to drive my C6 I don't really know why I offered to let her drive it several times but she wouldn't but she had no problem buying her own.

I'm hoping to take pictures along the way but I likely won't post them until I return. As for the picture of my mother in her new car I will be pissed if I can't get that one and with the top down! I'm 51 my mom is 78 as long as I can remember she has spoken about someday owning a Corvette. I think this was something she had giving up on until I bought my C6 2 years ago and she told me she wants to buy it when I get rid of it, she knew I don't keep cars very long. She was not happy with me when I traded it in more like pissed at me. The next day she started shopping and ended buying a 2017 Grand Sport it doesn't get much nicer then this there is no way she would ever want a Z06 so this is as top of the line as it comes!
The news this morning has me very uptight there has been several multi car accidents due to black ice over night. I think I will wait an extra hour before I leave to let the sun come out a little more.

Well I made the trip and just got home about 2:30 in the morning. My daughter and I take two days to drive down to Jacksonville where we met my parents and my son we spent the night and in the morning my mother drove her new car home and my son daughter and I drive back to NY. We drove straight through we just got home I will post a couple of pictures tomorrow. It was a great trip I very happy to have been able to make this trip seeing my mother's face made it all worth while!
