Did anyone see the Motor trend November 2016 Long term test results on the 2015 Z51. Not exactly glowing in regards to fit and finish, squeaks, rattles etc. Although they did enjoy the performance. This quote summed it up. "If GM could put as much effort into interior fit and finish as it does the Corvette's driving experience, It would have a world beater on it'd hands". Anyone own 2016 or 2017's have they cleaned up the issues?
Here are the issues.
Sticking parking brake, center display outage, Targa top creak, steering wheel squeak, front brake squeal, driver door squeak. Kind of disappointing. Have others in the 2014's through 20115's experience this. Hopefully for the 2016-17's these issues are handled.
My 2015 has been perfect and who really cares what Motor Trend writes. One month the Corvette is the best in the world, next month it rattles and blah blah.
New roof hardware and strikers were added to late '15+ to minimize squeaks and creaks. Not sure if steps were taken to remedy the other matters described by MT.

I have a 2015 3LT Z51 A8 coupe. I had the recall done on the top and now I have none of the issues above. 14K miles

With the possible exception of the center display -- all seem like really minor issues, don't they?

We won't replay the same old arguments about how a 460hp $55k 190mph sports car simply will not have the same level of fit and finish as a 260hp $55k 130mph luxury car. i.e., in a C7, more of that $55k budget was spent on ultra high performance powertrain & chassis instead of perfecting fit, finish, ultra plush materials and NVH levels on a cheap-to-produce low-performance unibody car.
Personally, I'm quite happy with more of my $55k being spent on performance rather than fine Corinthian leather. I'd rather put up with a few occasional squeaks than a mediocre performing car

2015 2LT A8. None of the issues you mentioned and I drive it often(14,000 miles). Now the tranny well that's another story
14,000 miles already? Are you close to needing new tires yet?
I just put a factory order in tonight for a 2017 Stingray 2LT coupe - but I chose to go with the 7spd manual. I test-drove an A8 which was very nice and very fast.....but I am just kind of old-school and will never be taking it to a track or racing it.
My new 'Vette will be a 'garage queen' and I am likely to put about 5,000 miles a year (at the most) on it. My 2015 Nissan Altima 4cyl is my daily driver.
Glad you are enjoying your Corvette!

i am getting very good wear on the tires. This is my first Vette and I drive it hard thru the turns so I don't know what to expect as far as miles before replacement on the tires. Wish I had gotten the M7 as the tranny is the only issue I have had. It is not my DD I just love to use it whenever possible.

How many miles were on the car?
FWIW, I don't have squeaking anything on my Z06.

My 2017 has a rattle in the dash as did my 2015. Thats the only problem I have had similar to what they mention. I do like the fact that M/T got a lemon it will keep the engineering team on there toes.

Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
