One forum member just said they got a 24% discount off a 2016 so I would open at that and take anything in the 20%+ range.
It's winter and these cars aren't going to sell themselves....
Tell them your offer is $53,466, which INCLUDES the dealership "DOC Fees", and be firm. If they say they can't do it, tell them to contact you if they re-consider, and walk out. They will most likely call you back....worked for me.

As for what's a fair offer. I would agree with others above. Start at 24% off MSRP and if you really like this particular car, perhaps settle at 20+ % off. If they won't take that I'd walk. In fact, I'd walk at 24% and let them call you back. Bet you don't get out to your car to drive home

Also agree that I won't pay "DOC Fees" any longer..... haven't for the last few cars we've bought, including the past 2 vettes. Rubs me the wrong way..... YOU are in the driver's seat..... end of month, end of year, WINTER time.....
Check to see if you are ALSO entitled to any of the incentives going on...

I feel fortunate. I bought this identical car used for $48,000 with 2400 miles on the odometer. Mine does have the removable roof panel for an additional $1995. Your accessory list is perfect. My first Vet and is the most incredible vehicle I've ever driven. Just sorry it's in my garage snow bound. Go for it

- Invoice : You must know the dealer invoice (what the dealer paid GM) for that car so you can make a firm offer that is at least reasonable. i.e. let them make at least a few hundred to a thousand of profit. If you do that and they say it's too low, simply say it's fairly above invoice, that there are many other cars sitting on other dealers lots, and walk away. MSRP / 'List' price IS MEANINGLESS. IT'S EVIL. WHENEVER YOU SEE ONE, TREAT IT LIKE THE MANGY SCOUNDREL IT IS. Seriously. MSRP is just a tool to help set your expectation of paying more than you actually need to. Note the 'Suggested' part of MSRP.
- The power of the feet : 90% chance they will try to re-connect with you after you leave or try to stop you. If they don't then that wasn't the place for you to be buying from anyway. The Bottom line is that if you don't get your price, as long as it's fair, WALK....
- Fear of loss leads to the Dark Side, padawan : If the sales guy gets the slightest notion that you can't leave without that car (not just liking it, mind you), your negotiating power is weakened.
- Let someone else do it : Another option is an auto broker, a REPUTABLE one that has no financial relationship with car dealers (i.e., they are paid by you only). The one's with a simple flat fee are the best to start looking at if that's the route you want to go. The more complicated the financial structure gets with an auto broker, the higher the likelihood that there is something hidden from your view going on.
Nobody hits a home run w/o practice. Because this is such a big purchase, it is entirely appropriate for you to.... practice. What I mean by that is try it out on a car you have no intention on actually buying... Go to a dealership, find a corvette and go through the process once or twice and you will feel more confident when you get to what you do want. Sales is not altruistic... Don't feel bad about taking up time. Sales people do it for a living "Let me go talk to my manager...." while you wait.... and wait...

My car also has the Mag Ride option (FE2) without being a Z51. This $3495 option not only gives you the Mag ride it also includes the Z51 19" front and 20" Wheels and Tires and Z51 rear spoiler.
I would say if you like the '16 that is in question, expect about 20% off MSRP. Note: it must be a Bonus Tagged Car to get that deal.

Right in the ballpark, assuming this is a bonus tag car.
