Default Adams Paint Ceramic coating kit

Hey Gang,

I wanted to share my results with the new Adams Ceramic Kit. The products were easy to apply and the results are awesome.

Highly recommended for those DIY detailers.

The new technology of nano-ceramic paint coatings are simply awesome and make the old days of waxing a thing of the past. There are several brands available.

I see you used the coating prep.

What did you use to remove any contaminants off the paint surface?

Did you use a polymer glove or clay bar before using the prep coating and paint coating?

Your C7 looks awesome and the paint will be very well protected. I use a ceramic coating on all of my vehicles.

Good job, looks great!

Was wondering the same thing about surface cleaning.

Happy New Year, Rich!

^^^ Same to you Bob.

I use a polymer wash mitt to remove any contaminants before polishing and applying the ceramic coating. Using a clay bar is old school.

Since my cars are ceramic coated, I ordered today a bottle of the Adams Ceramic Boost. Adams has a great price of $29.99 for their 16 oz bottle, vs the competitor Pinnacle Black Label Ceramic Boost at $39.99 for an 8 oz. bottle.

I used the cleaning agent that came with the kit and Adams clay bar in the problematic areas.

Thank you for the glove tip!

great question, not sure. Although sure it will outlast any wax in the market.

The nano-ceramic coatings like the Adams, Pinnacle, CQuartz, OptiCoat will last up to 2 years +.

Future washing and maintenance of the paint surface is so easy after applying a ceramic coating.

Keep in mind that a ceramic coating is the best, while a paint sealant will last about 6 to 9 months before you have to reseal the paint again.

Using wax is dead. CSEVEN's shine and reflective qualities will last for several years. Using the Adams Ceramic Boost will retain the gloss and his Silver C7 will look like glass.

I had my new Genesis G80 delivered on Dec 22nd and the next day I started the detailing of the paint surface which took 2 days or about 7 hours total to hand wash, use the NanoSkin Wash Polymer Mitt, Prep Polish with a DA buffer, and apply the ceramic coating. I did not use the Adams product as I did not know that Adams sold the ceramic coating. After seeing CSEVEN's post, I will use the Adams Ceramic Boost to maintain the coating.

I used the Pinnacle Label Diamond Paint Coating V2, but may very well switch over to the Adams ceramic coating once they start selling the ceramic coating outside of the kit. At the present time, the Adams coating is only available in the kit.

The shine and reflective qualities you get from applying the ceramic coating is simply stunning.

Here's my new 2017 Genesis G80 after the coating.

Wow, that G80 looks awesome!

I agree with your comments, wax is dead. My car had a full paint correction last year, so the paint was in great shape.

I also love the fact the ceramics coating goes over all surfaces, like the clear bra. My next step is removing the wheels and going through the ceramic process on my calipers and wheels.

I really like Adam and his products. I've used 22PLE before and loved it. I'm sure this product is good too. I definitely like these coatings/sealants much better than wax.

Looks great!

big Adams fans here as well, just bought the Swirl Killer DA for my DD and the wife's car, seems solid and at a great price point.

They just released the Wheel Ceramic kit as well, even more durable (or so it says )

After removing the wheels, I suggest spraying the wheels, inside wheel barrels and calipers with Sonax Full Effect to remove iron from built-up brake dust. Then rinse, wipe down with Acetone then polish and apply the ceramic wheel coating.

This is the process I use to ceramic coat my wheels.

^^^^You're a serious car detailer. Love it. I am sure your rides look fantastic. Consider a polymer wash mitt vs the clay bar.

I contacted Ben at Adams earlier today and they are expecting to sell the ceramic paint coating outside of the kit soon.

At the present time, the competitors are selling their nano-ceramic paint coating for a 4 oz bottle for about $80.00 each.

CF Vendor....http://www.autogeek.net/pinnacle-paint-coating.html

I am anxious to see what Adams sells his for after the first of the year.
