I add the appropriate amount of fuel stabilizer to 1/4 tank of fuel.

I have stored my Corvettes for the past 15 years with a full tank of fuel and have never added fuel stabilizer. Never had an issue.

At age 70 I have stored a lot of cars and boats for the winter. SOP for me is to put in a good stabilizer and fill the tank. For the cars that comes to 6 months storage and for the boats about 8 months. Works for me!

With most gas having 10% ethanol, stabilizer not needed.

I've been storing toy cars over the winter for 30 plus year. I have never added stabilizer and never had an issue. I once let my 442 sit for over two years. It started up fine. The gas was a but stinky but I just ran it down and added new fuel. In my opinion people way over think the storage of their vehicles.

Never. Unless you're storing your car for YEARS you need not dump anything but gasoline into your tank...

Half of us don't put stabilizer in and there haven't been issues reported in the Spring. That would seem to say putting in stabilizer is a feel good at best.

Shell has Ethanol - 10% at the stations here - but you are saying that the premium does not?
need to check the Shell refinery is a few miles and my neighbor works there in the cracker unit - will let you know.
