Default DIY painting stitching marker brand

Hello, after thinking a lot I have decided to paint the stitching on my C7.
Since I have adrenaline red seats, is not that much of thread that I need to paint.

So the question is, what brand of marker have you guys used.

Best regards,

Roger

I did the red SS on the headrests of my 2012 Camaro I had before I got the corvette. I went to hobby lobby and got a fabric dye pen, they have different sizes so make sure you get the size you believe will work best

I went to Michaels and bought TULIP fabric markers and they worked very well.

I haven't done this mod yet but I have been doing a lot of reading about it here. Not sure how important it is, but the Zig website says Fabricolor requires heat setting with an iron to make it permanent. Others on the forum have recommended using Zig Writer instead. It is permanent without requiring the heat set step. Search for the thread titled "Best $2.49 interior mod ever" - lots of other marker information and photos there. If I knew how to post a link, I would.

I used a product called Stained by Sharpie when I colored some of the threads on my C5 seats. Got the pen at a local Hobby Lobby store. Works great and has held up very well.

Roger, I just finished my AR stitching. I found that the Marvy Wearable Art fabric marker pen in red was the brightest red I could find, and it matches better than the darker red pens (Sharpie). I bought it at a local Michael's store. One pen did the trick, and the job was easy enough. You'll need some of your best Yoga positions for the dash, and the steering wheel.

My method of attack was I would do 4-5 stitches at a time, then wipe the excess with a micro fiber towel. Then I would go back with a flash light to make sure I got the sides of the stitches, and filled in between the stitches. It was approx. a one hour with no beer job.

I started mine today with the stained by sharpie pen in red. Really looks amazing and isn't difficult at all. Haven't tackled the dash yet but will soon. It goes fast once you get started. I used the stained by sharpie and have no regrets whatsoever.

I REALLY like the looks of the colored stitch. I have a DSOM with 3LT Kalahari interior. I am thinking about coloring the stitching with Orange to match the exterior but am not sure how it would look. Has anyone seen this done? Any comments?
