New Michelin performance tire
New Pilot Sport 4S, not an all season, but rather a replacement for the PSS. I wonder if 2017's or 18's will have them as standard tires?
From what i've read, they will be slightly better than the PSS's but with better wear ( 31,000 mile expected wear )
and will the Z51 have a different formular on this tire ?
I wonder about the noise... will they be quieter ?

Hard to tell about the noise. Slicks with no tread make a lot of noise, tread adds to that. The main issue with tire noise in Corvettes is the deliberate reduction of noise absorption materials (compared to other cars) due to the performance nature of the vehicle and how really close the rear wheels are to your ears. In the Vette the left rear wheel is about 4 ft from your ears. In any vehicle with front and back seats the rear wheels are at least 6 to 8 ft from your ears and with a lot more noise absorption materials in place.

Interesting. They do say there will be better wet and dry braking etc. I'll never understand how Michelin comes up with their naming conventions.

If I read correctly these are "all weather" tires that can be driven year round... with better performance than the AS3 series. That right there is a good selling point to not have to worry about heading out on a clear crisp winter day because of the tires. Now we need to see if and when they will come out in ZP configuration.

No, you missed something. After talking about the PS4S, which they thought might be a Europe-only tire, they went on to talk about another Europe-only tire, the "Cross Climate +." The PS4S will still be summer-only tires not suitable on cold pavement or snow and ice.
From the article below:
Initially, we thought the new Pilot might be a Europe-only tire, which is more common than you might think. One such is the other tire Michelin introduced at the Paris auto show, the CrossClimate+, which fits into Europe’s all-weather-tire category. Imagine an all-season tire on steroids. Unlike all-season tires, which are a North American phenomenon, all-weather tires have enough snow and ice grip to be eligible for the three-peak/snowflake symbol found only on designated winter tires in the U.S. and Canada. Like all-season tires, though, these all-weather tires can be driven on all year round.
