Anyone know of a device that would allow constant four cylinder mode? Surely 325 hp would be sufficient for just driving around. Gas saving too. 16 zo6, 7 option. Hella car!

Doesn't it stay mostly in 4 cylinder mode when you put it into ECO mode?
Then put it in Econo mode, that's what it's for. That's not what the OP is asking for.
He wants it in 4 cylinder mode all the time when driving around is how I took it...
If he really wants 4 cylinder mode absolutely all the time, I'll do an engine swap for him. I have a great little 1.4L turbo Chevy that I'll trade him for his LT4...
The engine can't safely run for very long in V4 mode. There are parameters that keep it from staying in V4 too long. For example if over 6% throttle. I can't remember the max time its allowed to be in V4. Once the V4 time limit is exceeded it has to be in V8 for a certain amount of time. All these parameters are because its bad for the engine to be in V4.
That's how I read it as well. That makes zero sense to me. YMMV.
Probably same reason Camaro offers a turbo 4 cylinder...some just like the looks of the car and could care less about the HP/TQ numbers. OP could have saved a boat load of cash, just going with the Stingray...

You're right on track...I do remember hearing/reading this somewhere. I want to say that the time limit is like 8 to 10 minutes.
From: Calgary, AB. There's a reason why white was the only color offered on every year Corvette. Proud Canadian German Jamaican!
