C6 vs C7
Let me say if you enjoy heated seats keep the 2012 as the heated seats in the C7 kinda suck. Many threads on that subject.
The auto A8 has issues and again many threads on that as well, so get a manual C7. For me this saved m3 3 grand as the Z06 has gas guzzler and the auto is like 1600 bucks.
Luckily the C7 GS comes with side skirts as the C7 seems to kick up way more grit and chips the paint. My GS never did that.
Now on to the things I like about my Z06. Color heads up display, front and rear cameras, styling, power over my GS, but of course I went from 436 to 650
, PDR to record driving but a gopro or other cameras have better quality. I used to get tons of attention in the GS, but this car really turns heads so get prepared to get more attention.

at this point I wish I had gotten to C7 package... and just replaced all four corners day one with aftermarket ...
May not matter to you ...but I do a bunch of track days and go through pads and rotors !!
as everyone else's said the cars are her night and day!!
it's a wonderful car !!
just did a 600 mile trip gas mileage and the four-cylinder mode work pretty good !!
25.6 mpg ..with stage 2 spoiler ..
I have a 2012 gs m6 that may be looking at changing to a c7 if the differences are significant enough.
My 2012 has low mileage so this should not be a consideration.
Appreciate your feedback-
As I put it to my friends, the C7 is the first Corvette you dont make excuses for. It's a world class, well rounded performance sports car whereas the C6 was a good sports car with some quirks and a lot of power (for its time). Even my cheap 1LT interior is better than my C6's 4LT interior.
I don't know how to put it other than simply saying it's all around better car.

The C6 is a raw, seat of the pants experience compared to the sophistication that the C7 brings. The C7 will beat the pants off of the equivalent version of the C6 in both power and handling, but the C6 will feel more powerful, which may be more fun given most of us will never see a track, so what it feels like may be more important than actual performance numbers.
The styling is purely personal, and the C6 is a beautiful curvy looking machine; the C7 has a more modern/angular/exotic feel to it.
There is no comparison on the interior quality, and upgraded technology foo-foos.

The seat backs are comparable. They adjust to much the same range.
I've done several multi-thousand mile trips in both, and I prefer the C7 overall, but Mr.owc6 prefers the C6. I think he just likes the raw feeling that the C6 provides.

GM only gave the C7 $250M of the $900M that the Corvette team requested for the redesign. It shows.
Why fully invest in the C7 if GM refused to?

You must try to keep up with the thread.
I'm a proud owner of a beautiful C7. CF member Village Idiot and I were doing a parody of what C6 owners say about the C7, hence my remarks about what is commonly said about the new Corvette.
Happy New Year!

But like many of us here, the design grew on me and I came to appreciate the overall scheme of the C7 along with its greater capabilities over anything previous to it. I'm lovin' it.
That being said, I can't ever recall experiencing a design overhaul as compelling as the C6-C7 transformation over that ten year span. What amazed me the most was that GM made a car that was already about the best sports car I had ever driven (my 2007 C6) SO much better.
Somewhere else in this thread it says that the C7 won't be much faster implying that the increased curb weight offsets the bhp increase. The C7 feels considerably faster than that to me, I assume it's due to the broader torque curve (more torque @ lower revs) and the improved transmissions. The performance gains are substantial in acceleration, and more notably in handling prowess. The C7 utterly smokes the C6 on the track. A 2014 C7 Z51 stock Stingray clocked within .2 seconds of a 2011 C6 Z06 on Car & Driver's Lightning Lap racecourse in VA, a four mile long course, that's a virtual tie.
The comment just above struck me as odd, if you really think the big advance in the C7 is the navigation and the back-up camera, your perception of what makes a car good are very different from mine. Those two items are minor side notes, hardly the major C6-C7 improvements I'd point out. To me the C7 has changed the game on the Corvette and elevated it to the next level entirely. It took a week with the car to fully grasp what all the automotive writers have been raving about for the past few years (I have yet to see hardly anything negative about the car, even the old UK version of Top Gear loved it and they have always HATED Corvettes).
So if you don't like the styling, I get it, but the newer car's improved performance, drivability, and overall sophistication are unassailable and rather obvious. After a week in one I'd never go back. I wish I preferred the C6's; they are relative bargains now : ).
