Hey bud, you probably said that about your C7, never say never.

My old 06 c6 which I loved for over 6 years

My new 14 c7 which puts the old car to shame in every way possible

Exactly. GM/Chevy are not likely to build a car their current fans can't afford. That would be stupid beyond belief.

I hope you are right about that. Variants like Z06 etc. that are pricier are fine, but the very core of the Corvette appeal is bang for the buck performance and style at a price that in current $ is no higher than about double the price of an average car - expensive but still within reach for many Americans.

My new C7 is my dream car, the used C6 I started with two years ago was too. The feeling i get from being able to own this car is pretty cool, I just hope GM never loses sight of that - that is really what makes the Corvette so special in my view. I couldn't realize this dream if the base pricing were $110K instead of $55K.

I think that's a HUGE deal with these cars. GM has always adhered to that, let's hope that always do.

Hey, I see C5 cars on the road and they still look great. C4s are ok, they look kind of dated to me, but really still better than most other cars on the road. C3s and older look classic, even though GM kept that C3 around for 5 years too long. Expiration date on a Corvette generation for me is like 10 years tops.

You are right- beauty IS in the eye of the beholder. And I just love Corvettes. Granted, some more than others. But I am grateful and humbled at the same time to be involved with this fine group- and to finally own a C7. But I would be ok with a C6 too, just not a base model.

The pictures in this thread are most certainly eye candy!

Traded my C6 GS for a C7 GS (Plus cash ). The first picture is the day I dropped off the "old" for the "new". The rest are self-explanatory. I heard this comparison, "The C7 is a night at the opera, the C6 is a bar fight"

But when the C7 was introduced in January of 2013, it really made to stop and take a real good look. The first thing I said, out loud, was, "wow, that looks just like a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta". And that is a good thing! Ferrari has always made a sexy looking car.

The C7 grabbed me, unlike the C6.
Exactly my thoughts as well.
