I could not be more happy with the guys at MacMulkin Chevy, mark, jessy, Kenny, and Todd. It was honestly the best buying experience I've ever had! And it being my first time purchasing out of state and flying in, I was a little nervous, but they made the process so simple and easy! Had a guy waiting at the airport to pick my wife and I up, had all the paperwork ready to go, as well as the car. Just a great group of people that really know corvettes and love them as well! I will be a return customer for sure!

Made this purchase 11/11/16 and it was their last 16 on the lot, (2LT Z51) so I also got an amazing deal at 22% off msrp! I spent countless hours shopping around and no one was close to MacMulkin.

Good discount. Glad you pulled the trigger.

i dont know if its ok to post direct contact info for Kenny G at Macmulkin. Anyone needing PM me. When you just call the dealership its the main office that answers and sometimes it gets lost in the shuffle. Very busy place

Great thread started here, thanks. Question for anyone here before I start a new thread and deal with the positive and negative responses, lol.

I am looking at ordering a 2017 Z06 2lt, ect. Going with a museum delivery also. So my question is when I do a custom build can you get a better deal on certain days, holidays, ect? Or does it not matter on a custom build when you place the order?

I have been looking at either Tommy Jr or Mike Furman but it seems like the best deal might be with Tommy Jr. I appreciate all your help, thanks!

You might get a better deal on a leftover once the new models are announced, but for a custom order, you should just check the current discounts.

I have bought 4 Vettes, a Malibu, and a Camaro from Tommy and his team. Great deals and great service.

I bought a 2017 early when they started producing them we knew exactly what we wanted and knew it would be a ordered car with museum delivery.

I contacted all the forum dealers and a couple of local dealers with the exact same specs. I simply took the lowest price which was with Tommy at MacMulkin. I did not pit one dealer against another but simply gave each a equal chance for my business. This was our 3rd new Corvette and the local dealers in Houston have never been willing to deal. I honestly don't know why I even gave them a chance.

The next Corvette (with a better paint job) will likely be purchased from Tommy at MacMulkin as well. Their team really has the purchase experience down with information coming your way every time there is a status change. Good luck to the OP on your purchase. The car is truly awesome.

I got my 2017 Grand Sport 2LT Automatic w/ chrome wheels and heritage package for 73.5k after Florida taxes. I am not sure if its close to his prices but it was one of the best deals that I could find online!

That is pure add on greedy profit. Would NEVER give my business to a dealer who charged that just on principal.

Price is one thing to consider however, during the purchase and service process many things can happen. Need to not only look at the price of the vehicle but the Dealership itself selling it.

This is a perfect example of why I work a little harder when looking locally for a vehicle however buy from who you know because things can happen. Read a very detailed account on another site of a very poor experience at a well known "national shipping dealer". Always do your research before committing your money and time.

BTW there has been no response to the thread on the other site by the Dealer involved. If you buy local and know the people involved it does provide a certain amount of peace of mind.

My Dealer is the largest Chevy Dealer in the nation and is accredited by the BBB and A+ https://www.bbb.org/central-texas/bu...ne-tx-88110005 how someone like Criswell could not be accredited by the BBB and be a D- in this era of instant information is beyond me.

Any forum dealers closer who sell at the same price of less?
My dealer in MA (Beard Chevy- Hyannis, MA) beat MacMulkin.

Was that a new 2017 you got that deal on or was it a leftover 2016?

I bought my '14 from them and got a decent discount when all dealers within 100 miles of me were firm on MSRP, or looking for as much as $5000+ just to get on the list of possible customers. For me, a 260 mile drive to get my car on 3/8/14 was worth it!

93 posts on here and only one of the other big dealers making a comment says a lot to me!

They post on a lot of other topics and for sure have read all these comments.

Even if they can't beat this dealer plenty of opportunity to chime in and promote their prices and experience

Silence says a lot

It does, but maybe not in the way you think. I suspect they simply do not want to get into a pissing match or in any sort of divisive thread. They don't want to take sides. In one thread several months ago one of the dealers agreed with me on some point that turned divisive. He then erased hid comment entirely. I can see why. Half the crowd disagreed, some vehemently, with the subject under discussion. Dealers don't need the grief.

Another example: A couple of posts up someone is pointing out Criswell's D- BBB rating, which, BTW, has nothing to do with Corvettes. Yet Mike Furman is a constant and positive presence on this forum. I've never heard a bad word about him (or Rick Conti.) Do you expect Furman to come on here and "defend" Criswell? I don't. It would be best of he stayed away from any controversy, especially when it doesn't involve him directly.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if this whole thread gets axed because it's trending libelous.

Good point. I was kind of surprised that none sent me a pm at least trying to match the deal. NADA from any of them.
Thumbs up to MacMulkin.

Well my experience was somewhat different- I ordered a 17 GS vert at 11% off from them for late Jan delivery- several weeks after I placed a deposit and specd car they are offering 14% off new cars.
I called them and asked what is up- they would not budge on additional % off so I walked on my deposit and order and bought a 911 P car.

I believe those are presently for in-stock cars. I never expect to get the same discount for an order-from-the-factory car as I would from one on the lot.
