Tire pressure sensor issue
On start this morning the tire pressure sensor showed 5 PSI.After looking at the tire it was clear that the tire is fine.Reset the system and drove 13 miles and still it didnt not reset and still showing low pressure. taking it in today.
Any ideas?

Manufacturers still recommend that you check all the tire pressures with a pressure gauge periodically.
Also, when you check all the tires with the same device, it eliminates the possibility that the problem is just one sensor, or car not reading.
You might want to check for a leak at the valve stem.

P.S. they can be repaired once w/ a proper plug patch from the inside if a puncture is in the center section and still retain their speed rating

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
As long as you didn't drive on it very long, you'll be fine.

Like the OP, a lot of people don't understand that runflats never look flat. He didn't believe what his TPMS was telling him.
The Firestone dealer in town, where even the Chevy Dealer brings their low profile run flats will NOT patch if the nail/screw is in the outer tread. Firestone considers it to near the side wall! Nails in sidewalls can NOT be repaired. Problem is the C7 has wide outer treads! Michelin also says only 1 repair allowed per tire.
Interesting recent issue with a Michelin Run Flat: Got the second nail repair in the same tire in the wife's Michelin run flat on her SUV. Did not tell Firestone (the only place I bring tires) that it already had a repair as I was not sure if her tire non low profile had the same Vette spec and we don't drive her car at 100 mph! Glad if it is only1 allowed the Firestone tech just repaired it and didn't say anything!

Had her car at the BMW dealer a couple of weeks later for an airbag recall. Asked the BMW service writer how many flat repairs Michelin allowed for her tires. He said BMW does NOT allow any flats to be repaired the tire must be replaced. If I was driving on the Autobahn might understand! I have talked with this fellow several times and believe he is relaying the BMW policy!

As I was walking to my car I observed two nails in my rear tire...to me it was obvious vandalism, then contacted the police to make a report and had the insurance company reimburse me $250 for the cost of the replacement tire (it couldn't be repaired due to the proximity of the sidewall). Cost of tire, mounting etc. $490 less the $250 from the insurance company.

always carry a gauge in the glove box just to be safe.
