I purchased my painted side skirts from RPI and had them installed exactly like the instructions say but the front has a gap, any help would be gladly appreciated.
Loosen the bolts and push forward. The front of the skirts should be parallel with the wheel well, which is why you have the gap(s).
It seems that not all of the after-market skirts are precisely pre-drilled due to slight variances. I had to tweak my ACS skirts for them to fit perfectly, and others have reported the same with other manufactures.
If you already riveted them, then you will have to drill out the rivits, widen the holes, and start over. Yes, a PIA, but there is no easy way to remedy once riveted.
As another poster suggested, use a rivet ...it will suck it up and close the gap. I don't believe 2-side tape can hold the kind of initial tension needed.

He started off with the front parallel and it was worse. We used the screws that came with the set, will try rivets and add extra in that area, see if that helps.

^^^ I had two sets of RPI skirts. The first set they sent the front hole was round and when I installed them they were too short in the back by over a half inch. The second set they sent had a slot instead of a hole. Much better fit but only one side was right, the other side I had to file the slot bigger until they were right. I was told they do have a small gap in front to allow for mud flaps to fit. I have flaps on my car and they were not affected. It looks, by the pic, you have the same issue with the front bolt opening. Check to see if you have a slot or a hole. I think they changed it to the slot. If they aren't in the right position you will have gaps that even if you rivet the tension is there and eventually I feel it will pull away. Good luck let us know
