Happy 64th birthday to the Corvette!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Corvette!!!
On January 17, 1953, 64 years ago today, at the Motorama at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City Chevrolet introduced to the world for the first time a two seat sports car named for a quick naval vessel. This event, as well as the rest, is history.

While June 30th is generally considered the birthday of the Corvette, no reason not to celebrate the car any chance we get.

To Corvette Enthusiasts Today Is An Important Day
Corvette Shown to the World for the First Time on this Date in 1953 at the GM Motorama in NYC
It was on January 17, 1953 that thousands of Americans would see the all new Chevrolet Corvette for the very first time. The two-seater sports car, which had been developed during 1952 became the star of GM’s Motorama show at New York’s Waldorf-Astoria.

Hey, Betty White's birthday is today too. She's 31 years older than Corvette.
