History says by now a small power bump (10-20 flywheel hp would be nice) would be in order. The 2018 Mustang V8 will get a 10 speed auto. and output figures close or equal to the current LT1. Even if most versions of LT1 Vettes are lighter than the V8 Mustang, it'd still be a no-no for a higher volume V8 Mustang to post higher advertised numbers than a Vette. Vette should jump to a 10-speed auto too, just to squeeze another mpg and with the engine power bump, give some added thrust across the range. Hopefully some additional factory (not port or dealer accessory) wheel options will come into the fold, especially for the Z51 version. Continuous updates to the infotainment are almost a must have for higher end vehicles.
Any predictions on what will change for the C7? A few minor color or trim changes seem to happen every year. My prediction is roughly a 10% boost in HP and torque for the LT1 motor. This motor has 4 years or more of beta testing and GM will now up the power to roughly 500 to generate more sales. New mustang is getting a boost. Dodge is coming out with the Demon.
Been wrong before, and will be wrong again. Guess we will find out in April
I think you're right about the HP boost and that number, 500HP, feels about right. However, I think if they want to increase sales, they need to do a facelift of the body for 2018. Otherwise the new C7 will continue to compete with the 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 C7s. Increasing the HP will matter to some, but not to all prospective buyers. However a facelift is hard to ignore.
I hope I'm wrong cause I like the fact that my 2014 looks just like the 2017.

I doubt we'll see a facelift of the C7 at all, GM really doesn't do that anymore like they did with the C1-C4. The C5 never saw a facelift (unless you count the hardtop LS1 in 99-00 which then morphed into the Z06 in 01) and the only visual change the C6 got was the introduction of the Grand Sport, but we've already got the C7 GS so that really leaves nothing left for them to do. I honestly don't think they should mess with the design of the C7 at all, it's perfect as is, they should save any design changes for the C8.

C1 had the most changes, C2 thru C7 very minor if any.

The looks of the C7 just look too good I would be fine if they left left it alone. The infotainment however can use a slight update. The Camaro's Mylink has updated icons, not as buggy and overall a tad bit better.
Although the LT1 is PLENTY for the streets, I would love to see 500 crank for a base C7!

GM did it midway through the C6 cycle. Brought out a new engine with 30 more HP. Power went from 400 to 430. After owning a supercharged C6 putting out over 550 HP at the rear wheels IMO 500 HP at the crank would be about perfect for the C7. 500 would be about the most the average driver could use on the street and still avoid most traction issues.
I would think Chevrolet would not let Dodge be the title bearer for the most horsepower.

The hellcat has been out for almost a couple years and they haven't brought out anything with more then 650 hp and dodge is about to up their number with this new Demon. Corvette needs optional 360-degree video-surveillance system, such as the optional system on Cadillac CT6.
The system will video-record everything all around Car on the SD card.
Part of the system is already available on Corvette and its called PDR.
