Interesting. That means build out will take place almost a month early. Im betting the first order cycle of 2018 wont be until early August.

Usually we get a chance to see what the next model year features will be at the bash, then have a few weeks to decide if we want to wait for the next model year or order the current model year, but looks like we can't do that this year.

The plant is suppose to be shut down for the most part during August for the transition to the new expansion, I am expecting 2018's to arrive Oct/Nov as it stands now

I was looking forward to seeing new colors and any changes from the 17 to 18 before ordering 17 GS. Now I also have to rethink selling C5 or trading in C5.

Yeah - I know it's going to end up good in the end, but unless your mindset is to get a 2017, you're kinda left in that in that pandora's box for awhile, wondering if you made the right decision once the specs are released and pics are available.

All I know is that they're going to take full advantage of that paint shop.

Rick do you think GM might put out some info on 2018 color or options changes before dead line to order 2017 GS ? I'm interested in new colors and if Spice Red or twilight Blue interiors will be available in 2018 and any automatic tranny changes. Thanks Dave

I wonder when the order guide will come out then? I see no reason it should not come out in May like usual as long as there are no major changes to the cars themselves. If the delay is really just about the plant/paint shop transition. OR IS IT???? By now they have to have built some 2018 pilot cars if not already within a Month or so.

Since I'm eyeballing a custom order 2017 Z06, my major issue is whether or not the 2018 Z06 will incorporate some of the cooling ducts and performance improvements hinted with the camo test mules. Perhaps it's not a ZR1, rather an improved Z06 for 2018. I'd be OK if it is a ZR1 or track-based car as my intentions are 99% street and it would make the decision easier. Hoping some concrete news comes out before the deadline.

Of what relevance was Kerbeck having allocation now to Conti having allocation for 2017s 2 years ago?

Zero reason to bump this thread and clutter the front page.

I happen to like Kerbecks way of doing business and talk about clutter, just look at all the pop up ads on the site! At least I was doing a search. If you post something you think is new and its not you have to hear from the morons stating: Try the search engine, do a search first before posting and on and on. Im sure you have seen that before.

Its not the search, its the unnecessary reply/resurrection.
