Default Another Performance Exhaust question

I have read a lot of posts on this topic but my question comes from a slightly different perspective. I am considering a 2017 base coupe 1LT with A8 (no track use). I am looking for a quiet ride and am concerned that the performance exhaust will be too loud. My question: How much louder is NPP than the standard exhaust?

With the NPP you have the option in the settings to have the valaves always closed so it is no louder than the non NPP.

^^^Agreed...put the NPP in stealth mode and it is very very quiet...

Not my video, but it's educational regarding the NPP exhaust system settings:

NPP = Best of both worlds.

If quiet is a high priority why would you even consider NPP?

I think there are people out there, who want it quiet 90% of the time, but every so often want to get a little "frisky." I'm not one of them, but my wife is, so I understand where the OP is probably coming from.

NPP is the best of both worlds, because you can set it up to be in Tour mode all the time and have quiet all the time. However, it can always be changed.

I leave mine loud all the time. I actually wish it was louder. The only thing a Mustang has on a Corvette is the exhaust note.

Thank you all for the answers above. To clarify, I love the cold bark too! And if it was solely my car with my wife never driving it, I would go with the gnarliest exhaust possible - but in this case my wife and I will be sharing the car as our 2nd car. This is a new thing for us, as I have always had a "fun" car in the 3rd car garage. Over the years, I've had some Mopars, 2 different 911's, and most recently I had a 1965 Corvette Convertible (which had side-exhaust). I was always the only one who drove those cars. I recently made a decision to convert our 3rd garage in to project workshop where I can build things, work on projects, etc. My wife knows I LOVE cars, so she actually suggested we try having one in the main garage. When the new C8 arrives I will be selling our Audi A7 and we will see how the new car plan works out. (Our primary car is a 2020 Audi Q7 which we both love) We recently test drove a new C8 and she liked it - so we will see how it goes!

Right now I am enjoying the process of designing and redesigning the specs for the car. I wish the car was in my garage right now, but I am actually enjoying the whole process of waiting for it. Based on info above, I am leaning toward getting the NPP (but that could change 5X).

Thanks again for all info above.
