Thanks for the help, John B

A lot of modules don't move from generation to generation unless there is a reason to (as in the location no longer exists).

GM loves to reuse "brackets" which is surprisingly how most modules are actually attached to the car.

The area of the passenger footwell used to have a fuse block as well,
which I think was relocated to the area in back floor next to the battery?

yup, fuse block on the floor got up and ran away. I'd say it's hiding in the trunk!

Hi Elmer - I have a '14 C7 and after a brand new AC/Delco battery being installed at the dealer - the battery is getting drained within hours. I saw that BCM is the problem at times, however are there any other suspected issues with the car that can cause this unusual issue? I did bring it back to thwe same dealer who installed the replacement battery (thinking and hoping) it was a bad cell in a new abttery, however they said after a load test that it was fine. They called GM tech dept and they told them that there was a code update for some area of the car and after applying it - that it should resolve the issue - well NO GOOD, as the battery was almost totally dead by morning the next day.

Can you steer me in any other directions to get this issue resolved?

Thanks,
Mike

PS - happy fathers day if it applies!

hey Elmer. Is there multiple BCM on a C7? I have a z51 and I notice that the bcm on passenger floor has a part number of 13594348 but the dealership told me that I needed to replace 13594692.

I only know of 1 BCM and it is passenger floor under the carpet. Part numbers change and maybe it has a newer number than what shows on the part?

Elmer

I was thinking the same thing with the part numbers possibly being interchangeable but when I installed the new replacement module, absolutely nothing worked on the car, wouldn’t even allow me to start the car.

Sounds like the dealer gave you the wrong part for your car.

You do know that module needs to be programmed and configured, right?

By I installed, you mean the dealer installed, correct? The BCM needs to be synched to your car. It is not plug and play.
