Default Thoughts on Billy Boat Bullets

Hi all
Considering adding Billy Boat Bullets to my 2015Z. I have a Corsa X Pipe installed.
Car sounds good but looking for more aggressive sound. My big concern is drone.
Any thoughts or experience is appreciated.

Do the BB Bullets switch from loud to mild like the standard NPP exhaust does?

I'm not sure the bullets let you do that.

The bullets will not allow you to switch, the fusion however will. I've heard nothing but good about the bullets however every person has a different idea on sound quality... I'm planning to do the bullets myself as soon as I have the money saved on it

I have the Bullets on mine, and I love them!

I had/have them on LS2,3 &7, and had what some would call drone. It never bothered me, but there is none of that with the LT1. They are not as loud as any of the C6 engines, which may account for lack of "drone", but they are noticeably louder than the OEM NPP on the LT1. They do not allow for changing exhaust note in the settings; they are only loud.

But so, so sweet!

Same here, I am going to purchase bullets on my 2017 Z06 and I have heard numerous things about them. If you want that old school ,muscle car sound that will turn heads before you arrive with just the sound alone it's the best exhaust for the price. Only down fault I heard is the drone and no control over the exhaust sound. Have not heard one in person but from all the videos it sounds amazing. So if drone is not an issue then it's the way to go.

I would do headers and add HP while also adding sound. If sound is the only concern go with the Fusion, but it will won't sound as good as a car with headers. Or headers and cam.

I had them installed in Carlisle last year. I think they are the best for the old muscle car sound. Letting off the gas they almost backfire. If you want to be heard Bullets are for you.

I had bullets on my 05 C6, my 07C6Z and my 08C6Z and now that I bought a C7 they will be going on. I had headers, x-pipe and bullets on my 08C6Z and I loved it, just had to deal with the CEL on because of the high flow cats. This time I will leave the original cars and get the X-pipe and bullets. Nice that I am in Phoenix as they will do the install.

How would you compare the sound to the extreme system or headers? How loud and muscle sound was it?

Thought you may want some input on this subject. First I will tell you the BULLET exhaust system is our #1 product we sell to Corvette owners. It is our loudest exhaust and does contain resonators like the other guys have said here to create that muscle car sound. It is a straight through exhaust and is designed to be an aggressive exhaust note. However, it does not contain any exhaust valves for an NPP equipped exhaust. If you have NPP, the Bullet system will eliminate this functionality. Some applications, some with automatic trans, people say they get some drone with the Bullet. This is subjective though. We hear everything from "yes I hear it" to "it's not all that much". If that's a concern, we definitely suggest the drone canceling PRT Exhaust (without NPP) or a Fusion Exhaust (with NPP). Below is a graphic that represents sound levels if that helps. All three of these systems are focused on giving you a deep rich exhaust note, probably more so than most comparable products. But again, depending on your preference in sound, this is subjective. We suggest going to a Corvette club meeting to see if you can hear one on someone's Corvette or search "Bullet Exhaust" for some videos on YouTube (Billy Boat YouTube Page) to get a good idea of what to expect.

Not sure what year yours is, but any of the Bullet applications have the options for oval or round tips.
See all C6 options HERE.

Curious if changing the exhaust is going to throw any codes to dash?
