Default Add or not

I don't track my corvette so I was told not to add side skirts. I understand opinions are subjective and subjected to individual taste. I am asking your opinions if side skirts would add to the physical aesthetics of my car as it appears now. Or, would they be considered over dressing? Thanks✌

Those that have added them say they offer some addional protection from stone chips and road rash.
As for looks I think your Vette looks great and I would leave it as is.

To each their own, that's what's great about this country, personally I love the look and some added stone chip protection of them.

Had stone chips on my 2014, so when I got my 2016, l put them on right away. I think they offer extra protection and they even come in the color of your car if you want or black.

personally, i like it as-is. I did add film to the rocker panels and the doors below the flair at the bottom for added rock protection.

They do add protection, but you will have to step over them.

I would leave as is. Looks great. But understand, that is just me. If you like the looks of the C7 with them go for it.
I have 26K on mine without them, and drive over all kinds of poor surfaces and not one stone chip on the car in that area. The only stone chip I have is on on the front that spiked through the clear bra. And other than that none. There are blemishes on the clear plastic that did not penetrate to the paint in front of the rear wheel. Scared the plastic a little.

I say add the skirts. Aside from adding the extra protection, I think they totally make the car. When I see a C7 without them it looks like something is missing, IMO I think they should have come from the factory on every C7. I bout the GTX Z07 style skirts from C7 carbon and absolutely love the look of them.

I think they completed my car and added the extra protection from chips.

Hey, I will check them out. Have you added them on your vette?

I think the Stingray looks better with non-Z06 style side skirts if you add them. I know RPI and some other vendors offer a more straight-line side skirt that IMO matches up better with the Stingray profile than the skirts offered for the Z06 and now Grand Sport.

BTW - Your car looks great as is. Perhaps just add a good protective film and expanded splash guards to help reduce any wear on the rear rockers.

yourcar looks great! Anymore I honestly feel they're like adding on some type of birthday cake decoration pc.Almost like a fake vent. I was gonna add a dorsal fin to the roof of my z51 to mimic a great white shark, but decided against it. Leave it alone.

The OP's car looks fast and classy just as it is. If it were my car would not add skirts. Makes a Corvette look cheap, like a Honda Civic and a huge muffler coming out the rear bumper.
Others have different opinions.

I wasn't a fan of side skirts until I found the ACS Zero1's. In my opinion the car looks better with them. I initially decided to add them because of paint chips that happened during the first 500 miles.

I hate the so called side skirts. They remind me of running boards. Running boards were phased out in the forties.
