Default TPW 2/13 represent!

Hey guys. Been a member here for over a year when I bought my AW 2015 Z51. I spend a lot of time reading, not much posting. I plan to change that though!

Anyways, decided I wanted to upgrade to my dream car, a Z06. Called up Mike Furman Jan 5th, got to 3000 right away. TPW is 2/13 so its coming up quick! Doing museum delivery tentative March 1, and can not wait. Shout out to Mike....awesome guy to deal with!

Z06 3LZ A8 Torch Red with Two tone adrenaline red suede seating
Carbon flash mirrors and hood stinger, carbon fiber dash trim, etc.

Who else is waiting impatiently?!!

Congrats! Sounds like a beauty, enjoy!

Not enough threads like this anymore, when I ordered mine in July 2015 there were a ton of these threads and it was fun to join in everyone's anticipation!

Hope the wait isn't too bad and enjoy your museum delivery and don't forget to post some pics!

I should have started a thread like this! My story is a little longer so you can image my anticipation. My journey started at the beginning of December. My friend and I decided it was time for our first corvette and both ordered one from #2 dealer. Then the waiting started. 3 weeks later and we were still waiting for status 2000. After repeated calls and broken promises my friend found Criswell with a corvette matching his order. Abe thanks! We both cancelled and went with Criswell.

My order went to 2000 immediately but it was December 27 and now the Christmas shutdown, extra week factory shutdown, and finally 4 day a week schedule. My TPW went from a start of 2/6 to 2/13. Been a long wait and finally at 3400! I ordered a blade silver GS 2LT with Heritage package (Carbon Flash hash marks and GS strip on hood), CF outside mirrrors, CF badge package, blade rims with red calipers. My excitement is so high, I can't wait. Next wait will be delivery in covered carrier but it will come!!

PS I have been going to my friends house and sitting in his corvette.

It would be great if we could get a "family" picture. For sure I will post pictures of my baby when it arrives! Hope you do also.

Does anyone know how long it takes from being produced to arriving at the museum? I'm worried that I'm picking it up so soon that it won't have time to bask in the glory on Corvette Blvd.

Mine's 2/13 and Shane at the NCM says it will be built by Noon tomorrow! So that means it's hanging in pieces on the line right now. 3LT LBR vert M7 w/ red calipers. Her name will be "Scarlett Rose"

I was worried about this also. I was curious if the QC hold means they won't release it to the museum until it's over or that it's released way before then to the museum, but they just can't hand you the keys for two weeks.

I just sent an email to Shane asking how long it takes from production to the Museum. I'll let you know what he says.

I'll give you guys a little warning.
My car was built last week and the waiting gets WAY worse after it's built and you're waiting to get it. I don't care if it's coming to dealer or museum delivery, the car is there and I want it HERE!

Maybe for us Corvette buyers, while we wait GM should sponsor online counseling!

I'm already in the 2/20 thread, but my TPW is really 2/13. AW GS M7. I already know it's going to be worth the wait, but it's killing me.

Guys, I just got an email from Shane that mine is being build today too. He didn't say how long it takes to get from production to the museum but said that, depending on how busy, they try to have them on display for a couple days. I'm down for 02/27.

Today was my build day. Dealer called me and I asked if it was built yet. "Built? I'm looking at it. Wanta come get it?" Hell yeah! It was built earlier in the week and delivered to dealer. Today was my day!! This car is so cool. Even sales guy was drooling over my build.
