Default Anthricite wheels

I decided to give this whole plastidip rage a try and am fairly happy with the outcome. I decided on the Anthrocite if it had more metallic it would have been perfect. .

I decided on plastiidip because I am not sure of what wheel color I want other than I know I don't want the stock silver or black. Black looks fairly good but now that GM is offering it as an option on so many carsit is getting way to common for my liking.

Well here are the results:

Impressive, and if you want to change, peel off. and in the meantime, they are protecting your wheels.... a total win...win..

Looks sharp. The problem I had with plastidip was the brake dust basically bonding to the "plastic". Would've probably worked better had a switched to a low dust pad.

Did you use the protective spray DYC sells? I plan on using it tomorrow after the wheels have cured.

Also I have 5k on the car now and had almost no brake dust on the wheels

curious how this is done, do you unmount the tires, plastidip, then remount and balance?

never mind, just watched a video
look pretty good, nice that it can be removed so easily

Awesome I painted my Z51 wheels the same color. Give it about a week before it turns black from the brake dust build up. Eventually it will be black wheels.

I did pull the wheels off the car so I could paint the inside and not have gaps behind the spokes.

I have not been getting a lot of break dust, I had almost none when I preped them. A little road grime but for the most part Ibwas amazed how clean the wheels were. I do wash my car 3-4 times a month, since it is my daily driver, and hit the wheels while washing.

That looks great! I think in the early C6's this finish was offered, would be nice if it was a C7 option.

Those go really good with your black car. I like the contrast. They don't blend in as black wheels would with that color.

Is your car a base Stingray or a Z51 optioned Stingray? If u have Limited brake dust then I'm guessing it's a base? If so, you should be fine re: dust. The Z51 has a more aggressive brake setup and is TERRIBLE with residual dust.

The Z51 pads are different then the ones on your base. You should expect less dust.

Can a lowly C-6 guy say well done, much better
I also did the thing last week for the same reason you did and I love it, only I spritzed lightly some silver metallizer for just a hint of sparkle.
